Hahahahaha
I'm just curious -- to the folks reading this on the huffpo iphone app -- were you able tojump to the rest of the article. I couldn't..
Why? Does he get to pick which jail he gets placed into?
he doesn't get to pick a prison per-say he gets to use the system to find the best deal. Prisoner rights, a complex animal needing advocates and consultants. It's a business, like balckwater.
I think they should just let him go and deport him. I heard a rumor that Russia was interested or maybe that was some Russians, I don't remember..
How is he paying for the consultant? Guess there's lots more money hidden away somewhere.
Bernie Madoff: soap valet...
I'm sure there are many, many people that would let Bernie stay in their home.
He's safer in the worst prison in the country.
He should go to Leavenworth. Give him a big and burly cellmate named Bubba who will show him the intimate graces of prison life...
Yeah, but what if it turns out he enjoys it?? What then??
Threy should freeze any and all fo his ill gotten money so he cannot pay any consultant for anything.
Cell with a view? His own guard staff? Bernie's in for a shocking change: no more personal control for you for the rest of your life.
If possible, send him to one of the dumps owned by Cheney. He probably made money off the system, let him experience it firsthand.
In the world of federal pri.sons, not all of them are created equal.
Bernie here is going to want to aim for things like the one off the coast of Oregon or in West Virginia, and pray that he doesn't end up in Lompac or one of the ones in Texas.
If you can't do the time, don't do the crime. He should have thought about what could happen before he committed the crime. Now what? We are supposed to protect him? This crime is much more far reaching than the clients he swindled. America got swindled by him. These clients paid taxes on money they never made. Now they are entitled to that tax money back. That hurts all tax paying Americans.
Anyone can. He's in the hands of the BOP now. They do an evaluation and make a recommendation based on a number of things, including where his family is located, the nature of the offense, and the priso.ners own requests. It's not special treatment, it happens for all co.nvicts.
WTF? Prison consultant? Is that like a frickin' travel agent? It's prison, honey, not ClubMed.
