“But it’s patently unfair to cast him as a symbol of all evil.”

What's that old verse about the love of money being the root of all evil?

Um... Where is he getting the money for this consultant?? Since when are federal prisoners who have forfeited their "entire" holdings allowed to do this??

There's that little box of gold doubloons buried on one of the islands in the Tortugas. He gave the map to his trusted prison consultant . . . ;>).

I hear when he gets to the jail of his choice, he'll even be able to dictate his menu (pate de foie gras washed down with a bottle of 1995 Krug Clos Ambonnay Champagne seems to be the most popular). In addition, if he has the resources (and we all know he does), he'll be able to hire his own masseuse, physician and physical trainer to keep him in shape should the courts someday find that his sentence was too harsh (and we all know they will).
The rich--even the worst of the scoundrels--are different from you and me.

"Oh my. I just love your cell. The silk curtains covering the bars, the matching duvet and pillows are exquisite. Tell me: Who is your interior designer?"

Now let me get this straight !!
Madoff gets to pick which prison he goes to instead of the judge ?????
Where is the justice !!!

I worked at the Frank Murphy hall of Justice(Detroit,Mi) for 0ver 14 years and NEVER heard of anybody doing this so H.P. should check their sources because this is 100% bullsh*t!

I agree.
But let's pause for a moment...who would know where the best prison is? Obviously someone who has spent a great deal of time in them; and I'm not talking employees!

Ponzi people up,now deciding where he will serve his sentence, where's the money?

This story is NoT made up. How much more are the victims of this man will continue to be insulted.

Why is he given a choice as to where he should serve. Why is a an convicted of fraud to the highest degree who has ruined so many lives even given a choice whatsoever. In many other countried he would have been executed.

Now that's a b.s. headline.
Even the JUDGE cannot pick the prison in a federal case.
The Bureau of Prisons makes the decision.

All else is b.s.

My first thought was "Prison Consultant? Is there such a thing?" But then I read your post and realized that you were completely correct. Someone made this up and someone else fell for it.
