I find it interesting that, when asked to comment about Palin, McCain almost always includes responds with a declaration of respect for "Sarah and Todd." In fact I recall at least two interviews where he was asked about Sarah but responded with praise for Todd's snow mobile feats. Sexist? Or was he just changing the subject?
No, I expect it was his "clear" liking of Todd more than Sarah. That's all!
It will be very interesting to watch. I think the Republican Party will give ex-Gov. Palin what they will describe to her as “a very important role, Sarah.” Each primary candidate will woo her to “campaign for ME and together we will achieve greatness.” They will write a speech for her, let her whip up The Base and she will feel like a Really Important Person again.
But, before long, someone will whisper to her that she’s being used and she’ll start going rogue again. After that, these presidential wannabes will drop her like a hot potato and she’ll be adrift again, playing the victim and whining about the media. She’ll never understand that she let herself be sucked in by her own fondness for the sound and sight of Sarah Palin on television.
