Leader?
More like following the exodus from the GOP.
If an exteme right winger can't tke it any more, can GOP mass extinction be far behind?

"My staff and I spend most of our day dealing with this instead of progressing our state now," Palin said. "This isn't what anyone had in mind for Alaska."

Then we have - Obama

"My staff and I spend most of our day dealing with closing GTIMO with DOJ" Obama said.

"This isn't what anyone had in mind in our administration for the country

Actually, doing something so stupendously irrational like picking Palin and still supporting her....IS pretty maveriky.

This one act of stupidity will be the only thing McCain will be remembered for. Reminds me of Hindenburg, as a matter of fact.

Constant anger, hostility, and total inflexibility are the first signs, John.

Senator McCain, I would have voted for you had you not chosen the Palin wingnut as a partner.
My assessment of Obama was that he was a greak speaker who is full of malarky and that he was unable to provide real leadership; that he has no principles, just an apparatchik of the major Democratic money groups. His performance, so far, with banksters, insurance and healthcare has proven tha tto be correct.

Recommend you move away from Palin. Recommend the Republican Party move away from Palin. The Republican approach, being stupidly, stubbornly, recalcitrant nay-sayers is extremely unappealing. The Republican approach, which seems to take an approach that is so very right-wing Christian and rich-person tax cutting is very unappealing and has resulted in an historically wide spread between the lower-middle class and the upper class.

America's strength - economic and political - is in the middle class. Democrats have decided to abandon the middle-class worker for big banks and insurance companies - but they get closer than Republicans. Perhaps the Republican Party should wise up and start making an effort for the middle class?

Sorry, but the Repug goosestepping, Roman saluting, heel clicking followers of nationalist corporatism will never cater to the middle class. It's that old 2% at the top with the remaining 98% of us as one slave class they dream of. You are right, America's strength is in the middle class, but BigOil, BigPharma, BigCoal, and BigMilitaryIndustrialComplex want total nationalist corporatist control. Hail Victory! (You know the German words). And, if you want to really see the Grand Old Pfascist Party attacking the middle class, look at the current conduct of BigInsurance and their cohorts in BigWallStreet.

I once thought the New World Order was just a rumor. After hearing George H.W. Bush openly preach about it, and seeing his offspring Dubya actually place more of it in our government, and then watching the financial crash of September 2008, there is absolutely no doubt about the New World Order or the Fourth Reich is being brought to us at the courtesy of the Grand Old Pfascist Party.

How can the GOP appeal to the American middle class when they are doing everything they can to destroy it? Read the line about Goldman-Sachs here on the current Huffington Post. It all becomes clear.

But, you are right, if the Republicans had a lick of sense, they would kiss the burros of the middle class. But, judging from their current conduct, that Repug dog ain't gonna hunt.

As long as the GOP's standards are so low that they consider this woman a "leader", they should continue to wander in the desert for 40 years.

She's no leader, she's a parrot and not a very good one at that.....how can anyone in the GOP find her intelligent and captivating....besides horny old white men who surely are not listening, just watching....

Have to say that as creeped out as I was by the speech Missy gave us on friday, I am impressed by the involvement and scrutiny bloggers have been giving it all weekend long. The theory some had advanced that the timing of it, just prior to holiday weekend, would dampen the press response, was entirely wrong. This community and others like it have been all over the news, and most of the comments have been insightful.

One thing I wish someone would ask Sarah though. "What was it exactly that you told your kids about why you should resign your job right now?"

If that question were answered honestly, we wouldn't need to speculate.
