They can go ahead and compare chefs, but they'll still spit in your food anyway.

Buffett will be wise not to act on this tip.

But according to conservatives, it will all magically "trickle down", like so much pixie dust.

See that's the problem, a trickle? That brings up images of a starving boy in the desert waiting at a dry faucet hoping that a drop of water will trickle down to his mouth.

And to think that was the preferred term from the Neo con artists.

sure, just give the cons all the money and they might be so kind to let a trickle come out once in a while

the fallac of the theory is killing the middle class destroys/stops increasing their fortunes

a robust economy with well to do middle class increases the fortunes of many, making more richer

trickle down is akin to killing the goose to get all the golden eggs

MEANWHILE...

The New York Stock Exchange quietly announced last week that it would end its practice of requiring companies to report all their program trading — a move that helps shield large investment banks, particularly Goldman Sachs, from public scrutiny.

The new rule means the public will no longer be able to tell if large investment banks are manipulating the stock market for their own gain, says Matt Taibbi, the journalist whose Rolling Stone article on Goldman Sachs’ role in asset bubbles over the past century has rocked the financial world.

According to previous NYSE rules, any company that carried out program trading — essentially, large computer-automated trades worth more than $1 million — had to report the trades to the NYSE, which then made the information publicly available.

But, under new regulations (PDF) published last week, that requirement has been removed.

What is hard to believe is that celebrities esp in Hollywood haven't stepped up to the plate to cover the expenses that the MJ Memorial will cost the city of LA. Where are all the well paid Movie stars, music, politicians ect... in California. What about your fans ? It will bring nothing but goodwill to step-up and donate to cover the cost involved. Contact the news outlets. They will publish your name and probably your up and coming projects. 1.4 million fans willing to spend hard earned money to attend the service. How symbolic to the Jackson family and fans, when our economy is in the tank. This is your industry, you all love MJ as much as the every day people, you are in a position to make a difference.

Most cowards are conservative. Conservatives always expect others but themselves to fight their wars for them. They are generous with other people's lives.

hard to believe you could take a story about Warren Buffett and turn it into a rant about MJ's funeral. I'm sure LA's finances will be just fine.

.......Let those who plan to make a circus out of this pay for it. I suggest a private cremation at $400.00 and let the man rest in peace and afford the man a bit of dignity. The man was 400 million in debt when he died, a paupers funeral would be more appropriate.

A stock goes through the roof because somebody announces he's going to mention its name to Warren Buffett? So much for theories that the stock market is rational...

WASILLA, AK – Records and eyewitnesses have come to light that prior to announcing her candidacy for the Vice Presidency; Sarah Palin shot a Bigfoot from a helicopter.
A government helicopter was seen flying low over the Chugach National Park with what witnesses described as “a sexy librarian shooting out the side.” Employees at a local bait shop report seeing a similar woman only hours before carrying an infant in a camouflage Baby Bjorn.
The Bigfoot, or Sasquatch as it is known in scientific circles, was found dead on the outskirts of the park, just south of Wasilla, Alaska. Preliminary forensics reports confirm that an adult male Sasquatch was shot in the face with Palin’s trademark 5mm M4 Carbine Assault Rifle.
Environmental groups are in an uproar at the hunting death of a rare and notoriously reclusive species. Efforts to have the Sasquatch placed on the endangered species list have met with repeated opposition from state legislature, since protecting the ‘Missing Link’ could be seen as validating evolution.

This publicity seeking brash lunch resembles more the high profile flashy style of Madoff than the low profile pragmatic style of Buffett. "Caveat emptor" -- Let the buyer beware !

That's what I got from it as well. And we are propping up this system at the expense of everything else in this country. It makes no sense.
