I grind good decaf beans for each cup/use a french press and without thinking about I've reduced my consumption to one or two cups in the morning. I'm not shakey anymore, b pressure's down and sleep 8 hours every night. .

Which is ironic since they support Pot legalization. Isnt coffee naturally grown too you would think that would be reason enough to drink it. Pot helps you but coffee doesnt. All these trials are bogus anyway take it from someone who is a statistician. At least 50% of statistical findings are bogus Pun intended.

There was another study recently that found that caffiene helps to prevent Alzheimer's and dementia symptoms in women.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I can't afford many vices and I have difficulty justifying my coffee consumption to my wife because it's "not good for me". I'll have to remember to show her this article.

Who's in back of this study? The coffee industry?

I just kicked the caffeine habit. It was tough. But I believe the upside to caffeine does not make up for its down side.

Our nervous system is not meant to be pedal to the metal when there isn't immanent physical danger. We are being goaded by a mechanized environment to speed up.

Who knows what causes dementia. It could be our diet! Plastering over a health issue with a drug fix is not a real solution.

Seems like a reasonable study. Anyway I'm sure 1-2 cups a day is just great. Surely much better than 'drinks'.

funny how those who drink wine every day with dinner seem to have fewer heart issues...

Yes, well known effect, red wine in moderate doses. In large wine doses pipes and heart will be still great, but kidneys suffer. In really large doses suffers brain too.

But by bad 'drinks' I means not a good red wine of course - I meant the rubbish that our sugar-addicted couch potatoes drink, starting from preschool.
