Stimulus money needs to be spent - period. The government should be investigating state and local governments that are in charge of disseminating this money - particularly those controlled by Republicans - and take note of those who are sitting on the money and doing nothing with it.

Remember, these are the people who want President Obama to fail, and they certainly don't care about OUR welfare.

pssst, they have essentially been the same party for decades. They even wallow in the same denial. A barely dicernable difference between the two is guns and abortion. Other than that....corporate toadies one and all. Go ahead, pick one and behind each you will find a powerful corporate lobby and a heard of sheeple to be lead slaughter.

"The government should be investigating state and local governments that are in charge of disseminating this money - particularly those controlled by Republicans"

WTF are you talking about?

This has less to do with Ds or Rs but more to do with a crappy bill labeled as a stimulus package when in reality it was just a bunch of pork projects rolled into one . . . with unrealistic expectations which you could say were a lie by Obama.

President Obama needs to stop trying to make nice with the Republicans and do what needs to be done. Spending more and standing on the necks of those that have received money to get the economy moving again. The 400,000 jobs lost this past month, how many were lost because the banks refused their long term good customers credit?

Forget the Republicans, move forward without them.

They did move forward without the Rs, this stimulus package is their baby and it sure didn't keep unemployment under 8% did it?

You are exactly right, the banks want Obama to fail so they are holding their money. They are so against regulation that they are willing to sacrifice the American people.

I agree it should be released as soon as possible to get some people back to work or prevent others from being laid off. I don't agree with any thing else the republican Senator said.

How many republican governors are holding the money back just to make the president look bad?

Can the bloggers find out? Cause I know the corporate media won't report that.

So all the Republicans with their 15 minute attention spans are saying it is not working yet? I wonder what shape we would be in right now if nothing had been done - like still hurtling south. One of the things people have to learn, even when things are this bad is, things take time. These people sound like they are have Attention Deficit Disorder. I am also one of those people that lost my job (last Sept in Bush territory) but know darn good and well this mess is not going to be reversed overnight. Fourth quarter of 2009 or first half of 2010 is my bet. Oh, and one more thing, everyone forgotten the GM and Chrysler bankruptcies already? Hmmm, how many people let go in May due to that?

I feel for ya, my family is in the same boat. I found a couple of articles about Pennsylvania's cut of the stimulus. It doesn't seem like much, I know but it's a start! And as you rightly pointed out these things don't just happen yesterday, I suspect the bidding/awarding process takes time.

Look at this site and it explains that there are over 986 projects to be funded by the Stimulus Package
