Stewart And Guests

Andy Samberg, Joy Behar, Eddie Izzard, Denis Leary, Andy Richter, Bernie Mac, Craig Ferguson, Norm McDonald, Mike Myers, Laura Kightlinger, Dave Chappelle, Richard Lewis, Brett Butler, Sandra Bernhard, Jerry Seinfeld, Tracey Ullman, George Carlin, Chris Rock, David Cross, Louis C.K., D.L. Hughley, Colin Quinn, Tina Fey, Caroline Rhea, Paul Rudd, Bonnie Hunt, Al Franken and more have stopped by the "Daily Show" set over the years to talk about their television shows, comic routines, films, and personal lives. Stewart's producers were kind enough to compile the best moments from these interviews for your viewing pleasure while Jon is on vacation.

Tina Fey revealed that when she worked in Chicago with Stephen Colbert and Steve Carell, one of them was a notorious ladies' man. Richard Lewis took the same pair to task for their sartorial style. Martin Lawrence told Stewart why he likes to smoke comedy. Eric Idle sang. George Carlin mocked white people. Louis C.K. called a little girl an asshole. And Bonnie Hunt teased Stewart so much he fell off his seat.

Kristen Schaal is fantastic! She is articulate and very clever and very ironic, we love her here in Canada.

Here in Canada, we like smart people, partly because we are somewhat smart and consider ourselves healthy (at least when gun shots deaths are factored in) - in brain and body I guess - and partly because we can laugh at ourselves and our human foibles, at least we get to see doctors for free when we are sick. What the U.S. MSM consistently fails to report is that we all get looked after here, and very caringly tended to, until we are well again. If I have to wait for a surgical test, the doctor's office is always offering some extra help; they are smart and well trained, and they try to offer you the best possible advice based on experience - this helps because we are all scared facing the tests. At least in Canada we have a caring health system, I would highly recommend it to anyone, honourable people, great facilities and compassionate care. You are all welcome to come here for it, although you may have to move here. Canadian health care is great, why does the MSM report it as if it were a 2nd or 3rd class type system? it is really wonderful and we are all cared for ethically, honestly, with integrity and without concern for ability to pay. We will help you if we can, and that's a promise.

It sucks living in Canada that I can't watch these clips. >:(

Not really impressed with Jon's latest addition, Kristen Schaal. Her SNL/Victoria Jackson schtick is majorly irritating.

Is she the one who does the 'women's issues' segments? Can't stand her. I fast forward or go do something else the minute she comes on.

I think she is pretty funny and cute, but I've always liked nerdy girls.

This was surprisingly unfunny. Makes me realize what a tremendous job John Stewart and the writers do to create something so hilarious on a daily basis when they can't rely on guests (like late night shows) to bring the funny. If ever there was proof that John and his staff deserve a vacation........

really? because I was laughing out loud the whole time. What surprises me is the huge range of talent that he has gone through in interviews, he's come a long way and has really perfected his art. If anything, it really shows how brilliant he and his writers are.

I could not agree more. I kept waiting for SOMEthing, ANYthing to get more than a brief flicker of a smile from me. Jon Stewart is brilliant, his writers amazing, and many of these guests also brilliant in their performance schtick. Jerry Seinfeld hit it on the head: more "miss" than "hit" on all these.

I have to agree. There was the odd moment, but nothing special. Shame.

Stewart should not be allowed to go on vacation: The nation is missing out on an awful lotta funny this week. Maybe that explain's Palin's timing. Come to think of it, maybe it does!

If you took the gist of every show that Stewart has ever done, subtracted the humor out, and laid them end to end...well, that would be a horribly depressing journey through America as it is.

That is Stewart's gift: Telling the truth, without making you go jump off your balcony.

Agreed, I love the Jersey boy banter they have. And when Brian looks John in the eye and says straight faced..."Are we gonna do this?......." challenging Stewart awesome stuff.
