Kennedy's desk in the Oval Office was a paperweight made from a coconut shell he had carved with a distress message after his PT-109 was sunk during World War II.

Well what did you expect? There ain't gonna be no books in this here libree. You want people to come to the thing, don't ya? Put some dang ol guns in there and people will show up. He was gonna put a Iraqi T-55 tank in the lobby but the damn thing is too heavy! It'd mess with the bakerlite floor tiles.

He can place his famous "mission accomplished" codpiece right next to it (or in it).

Ask Rudy to donate his "souvenir" for your collection, Mr. Bush.

Pretty much shows that war was for revenge.

So Presidents can keep the spoils of war? Sodliers can take items from operations to keep personally, or to give away as they please? I can understand if the gun was a possession of the United States, and Bush made it availabile in his library. But the way the article reads is as if Bush thinks of it as his own personal possession which he is, through the goodness of his heart, making available to the Bush library. I think a clarification of how the rules of war, and our laws work regarding taking items from the field of battle works. Can the soldiers take the gold items from Saddam's Palaces and keep for themselves or give away as gifts to loved ones? During a raid on an Iraqi home, can soldiers take items from the home for their own? Inquiring minds want to know. I'm not sure why the author didn't explain this apparent gorilla in the room.

I have an alternative suggestion as to where Bushboy should stick Saddam's gun - and it isn't another library.
