I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Even Fox News has started to turn on Sarah Palin. In the midst of a segment about the Alaska Governor's battle against "liberal" attacks, Liz Trotta went off-message.

Frankly, "the woman is inarticulate, undereducated," Trotta said, arguing that for once liberal criticism was "well-deserved."

"I think all the liberal stylists ... really have a case. She just begs for adjectives like flaky and wacky." When pressed, she added, "We're talking about somebody who, right from the get-go, has been a flashy person who gets into a lot of trouble and really has no credentials for any job."

I wonder if they all get it, but are afraid of losing their jobs if they say it out loud?

I'd put a bag over her head, and one over my head, just in case the one on hers fell off.

Okay there are already 67 pages on this thread so I am confident my views have been fully expressed by other posters.

Finally, someone says the key point that I have been making since this woman came on the scene.

She blatantly uses her looks to appeal to the lowest common denominator within the rethugs.
Men want to do her and women want to be her (to get done). And this she knows. She ain't that dumb....SEX SELLS.
It is disgusting but human no less.
And the most I can say is, in a since, when I thought of rethugs back in the day....the more positive caricature was closer to a William Buckley at one end of the spectrum and a George Wallace/Sarah Palin/Pete King sleaze-mouths on the other end.
But I will say that this woman stirs up something. Is that something useful to the rethugs, I doubt it seriously.... but SEX sells and sandra pallin' around knows it.

There you go treating Palin as a sex object! Sexist indeed! Watch out, because Adrianna will come to Sistah Sarah's rescue! Expect a few phone calls and demonstrations outside your house from NOW.

Finally someone on Fixednoise realized that adequate education is a prerequisite for a leadership position.

What I find even more interesting is that the Palin tr0//s were extolling her virtues because she represented something they wanted to be. Now that she has quit, is she equally exposing what her following actually represents? Kind of hard to come to the defense of a looser even for tr0//s.

Let's see............

Undereducated, huh?

So obama's vast education tells him to run up the debt in this country to unimaginable levels and everything will be okey dokey. Bail out private industries (of his choosing) pander to special interest groups.
Oh, and don't forget our 57 states (by his own mouth) and all the other "educated" statements he's made.
Oh yeah. Let's get another ivy league educated person running the show in Washington!!

NOT!!

1. Yes he did say 57 states, by all amounts he meant to say 47 and didn't realize he had said 57.

2. Bush raised the national debt 5 trillion in 8 years. Bush was expected to lower the debt but Bush screwed everything up.

3. Obama has only increased the national debt 1 trillion, and in that is included the cost of trying to fix the economy which Bush destroyed, and fight a war Bush started.

"Clinton came into office with around $4.5 trillion debt. The debt was $5.66 trillion.
When he left office, there was a $236.2 billion budget surplus.

Bush came into office $5.66 trillion in debt. Eight years later, the debt was $10.7 trillion, NOT including another $850 billion spent on the war. Basically, he and the Republicans doubled the national debt.

Obama came into office with $10.7 tril in debt. Six months later, the debt is $11.49 trillion.

From 01 - 03, Republicans held the House and split the Senate 50/50, and the debt grew by $743 billion.
From 03 - 05, Republicans held both the House and Senate, and the debt grew by $1.191 trillion.
From 05 - 07, Republicans held both.the House and Senate, and the debt grew by $1.084 trillion.
From 07 - 09, Republicans split the Senate and lost control of the House, and the debt grew by $2.019 trillion."

All of your statistics are great. And I'm certainly not promoting republicans.

I'm all for cleaning house ENTIRELY including the newest "becha I can spend more than you did" POTUS and the Congress and the Senate.

Further, I'd be very interested to see just how things compare at the end of 4 years.
That would be under basically democratic control at that point.

Things aren't looking good right now and someone is gonna have to pay the minimun monthly payment on obama's Guvmint credit card.

I'm not super educated but somehow I know that if I run up my credit cards then one day I'm gonna have to pay them off and it's gonna hurt.

And I will be damned if I am going to buy a full price car from a company that I partially own so I will no longer buy from GM and we know why. See. There is a consequence for every action. Even obama's (what I believe to be) bad decisions now.

Okey Dokey. Let's gain some perspective.
Education can open you to the possibilities there are solutions that are not of your own making.
A good working definition of an educated person is someone who knows they don't know everything.
That is seriously lacking in "sound bite Palin."
Another facet is the skill to critically evaluate information.
That doesn't conform to dogma...and is seriously lacking in the lock-step GOP message.
However, they depend on you to not critically evaluate their positions...so keep it up, you're doin' fine, you betcha.

I love visiting this nest of vipers....

I can just see all the liberal crazies on this site dribbling out of their mouths while they have seizures everytime they think about Palin and getting headaches as they come up with all these hateful comments on Palin.

I hope you all realize that by attacking her all this time you set up the situation for her to resign and now she is going to give you fits for the foreseeable future and actually help defeat a whole lot of Democrats and help Conservatives.... not the GOP.... drive out the One, the Obama, who will end up only serving his one horrible term.

LOL, this will be fun.

Oh, give me a break. The woman deserves every bit of derision thrown her way, and a great deal of it is coming from fellow REPUBLICANS.
If someone--anyone: man or woman, Republican or Democrat--can't stand criticism from journalists and being fodder for comedians, they have no business being in politics; that's the nature of the game, and has been for centuries. If we still had responsible journalism like we did during the Nixon era, Palin would have been reduced to a quivering mound of goo before she even got out of the gate.
The woman is loony-tunes, she is completely unqualified for public office, and she would still be rightfully unknown to the majority of Americans if McCain hadn't thrown her into the national spotlight in an act of transparent desperation.

Strange, for I believe if Palin was a man there would have tons more criticism thrown at HIM from all corners of the political spectrum. Sexism is not good! Men have feelings too, and nasty words can hurt men just as they do women! Time for the world to recognize and pay tribute to the sensitive side of all men that bless the women with their presence!

The preceding message has been brought to you by all the suffering men everywhere---ladies, check under your beds, you may find some of 'em cowering underneath!

I think the reason Liberals rip into her so much and like to talk about her so much is because that is how they see ALL Conservatives. Dimwitted people who have no idea what they're doing. And every time a Conservative defends her they are just proving that they are dimwitted. But there are a lot of really great Conservative minds out there that we don't hear about. Sarah Palin helps NO one get elected, she drives Independents and Democrats crazy! And those two groups happen to be much larger than the GOP currently.

Really I don't view her as a threat at all, to any Liberal. I just think she is funny as hell. "Department Of Law" I'm still cracking up over that one.

Self-inflicted wounds. Sorry, but Palin has done a great job of painting a very accurate portrait of herself practically every time she opens her mouth. It's not quackery for if it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck.....

There are smart conservatives but, at the moment, it seems like they are always silenced whenever they make sense. It is good childish fun to wish/witness the demise of one party or another but it certainly isn't good for the country. The reason it is important to laugh at Palin is that she is the exact form of politician that this country doesn't need - all fluff, catchphrases and no intellect.

LOL! Oh please. Her reasons for quitting are self-serving. Its all about her. It wasn't the media, it was, "how much money can I make off these idiots, before I drop out of the 2012 race?" Notice all the trips she's taken since the announcement? Can't raise money if you have to run a state. You can't keep blaming the same people. Now she's free to enter Soundbite City.

IMO, she's starting too soon. She should have laid low (which is impossible for her) and took care of Alaska. Then she could have turned down all offers for re-election. She could have used that old nugget, "As much as I love (insert state, city or county here), the (insert what you really want here) needs me.

It takes a woman, i.e., Liz Trotter, to explain to men that Sarah Palin has gotten ahead because of her looks and gender. Some conservative men are blinded by her flirty charm. Apparently some conservative men are also blinded by their sexual passions into extramarital affairs. One wonders what role their relationship with their wives may have played.

And it takes a woman, any liberal woman for example, to resent that Sarah Palin did not abort her child, has a husband who helps and supports her and is governor of Alaska. What a concept.

The most common (serious) criticism of Sarah Palin I've heard so far is that she doesn't read enough. How do you know that? That sounds pretty shallow to me.

She still is the most popular conservative leader - with conservative men and women. I heard her next speaking engagement is with a conservative women's group in California. Yes, I am sorry to tell you that there are alot of conservative women - I am one of them. Conservatism is not for men only.

Well I can tell you know Sarah quite well, what are some of the books she has read? The phrase she used was "I CHOSE not to abort". Then she CHOSE to quite her state, because of some complaints. There are lots of people complaining about her everyday, don't you think that would drive her into a cave somewhere and hide? Why do she get to choose and we don't?

I think that the fact that she's dumber than a rock fits in there somewhere. Of coarse lots of conservative faithful love her and send her big money. Maybe she's not the one who's "dumber than a rock".
