Its not stories like this thats the problem...its people who only read headlines and not actual articles whats wrong. Its people who expect our president to have fixed the country and world peace within his first 200 days without batting an eye. 212 votes against it.... and 219 votes for.... only 8 of which were cast by republicans..... 43 democrats voted against it..... yes, some voted against it because they didn't think it didn't go far enough but the numbers show a stronger bipartisan vote against the bill than for it....

No one expected the problem to be solved in 200 days..... we didn't expect him to make things worse either (actually those of us who know Obama's type did)

It is not "jumping the gun" to say Obama is headed in the wrong direction.... it has nothing to do with giving him time to see if his strategies work..... If you come to office complaining about the deficit Bush piled up..... I don't have to wait long to criticize you when you quadruple those deficits in less than 200 days.... When you criticize Bush for not being constitutional i don't have to wait long before i criticizing you trying to nationalizing health care and enforcing CO2 emission restrictions on every single business in the US, in under 200 days....

what's wrong with our media is they don't represent the truth.... they themselves said "We gave Obama a pass."

The article simply presented a standard statistic without ascribing much of a value judgment to it. On the other hand, it would be accurate to say that Democrats have a history of not walking in lockstep with their president as Republicans do. Therefore, Obama's ability to keep the Democrats focused and on task is a significant accomplishment. Whether one likes the results or not, this has been one of the most productive congressional sessions in a very long time.

I may be damn, stupid or both!!. One thing that I don't understand when some people blame this Presidents for doing too much..what does this mean!!!!!!!. I wish I had been pushed to do more that I had do..may be I will not be where I am today!!. How can you blame the President for doing many things THAT NEEDED TO BE DONE?. I remember correctly when this President said we can do more one thing!..this when Mccain wanted debate to postponed to come back to DC to solve economic crises!. They are saying that b/c they want to be able to pin their scare-tactic word of the day on him appropriately (i.e. socialist, marxist, communist, slainist). They cannot do that if he moves too fast, dealing with multiple issues at once. They can only do one smear at a time. By the time they have landed on one, he's moved on to the next issue (or more).

Remember, we are dealing with people who are single-minded, knee-jerk, reactionaries who wouldn't know strategy, truth, or common sense if it walked up and introduced itself.
