CNN:

A person close to Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin with knowledge of her thinking told CNN Monday that her decision to end her term early "is not part of a grand strategy" to run for president, and that he does not believe she will mount a White House bid -- but conceded that, as far as he knows, she has not ruled out the prospect.

Palin held the key to her coverage by the media in her hand. She could have set the tone over and over again had she heeded her advisers. Or if she had simply kept her mouth shut. Had she sent her kids back to Wassila with her family and paced her responses. Even with her lack of verbal expression she still could have neutralized the press. She made them more and more the adversary. And man did she have a cookie jar full of topics for them to munch on. Palin's hubris and willfulness was not created by the media. She's incapable of learning because she thinks she knows it all already. This doesn't make for smooth sailing on the sea of public opinion.

She couldn't spend time with her family? How much time did she think being Governor would take?

Think about it: Sarah's argument is that the media sunk her reputation. But she came out swinging in MN. She was out to clobber Obama's reputation and all. She was not a respectful adversary, and she even attacked the media. Plus, she was the one who gave those dreadful interviews, she would not take her teams advice, and and she made judgments as to who real Americans were, and were not. She did so without regard of what peoples response would be, and she did not like the results. Now she quit her job, but she can still make tons of $ which is not a bad spot to be in. SHE NEEDS TO STOP CRYING ABOUT HER COVERAGE. Nobody is assured fair press. The press is an element with its own properties. There is no controlling it. Once false move and Obama will have to court them too.

"I weep for them," the Walrus said,
"I deeply sympathize."
With sobs and tears he sorted out
Those of the largest size
Holding his pocket-handkerchief
Before his streaming eyes

Well, it's just too bad, that she found it inconvenient and is unhappy, but she had made a commitment to her voters that she would serve a 4-year term. You don't get to quit from a governorship just because you feel like it. One thing is for sure, though, she could kiss her political career goodbye! There is no way to recover from this or have "a second chance" as someone stated on another blog on the Huff Post. She is definitely done.

Additionally, and I have said this all along, that she should seriously consider seeing a psychaitrist or a pyschologist and get some type of counseling. It has been suggested (on FOX, if you could believe that) that she may be mentally ill because of her her whacky, nonsensical behavior, something that seemed really clear, at least to me and several others, when she was giving her resignation speech on Friday.
