Peter King: Michael Jackson A 'Pervert' And 'Low-Life' (VIDEO)

NEW YORK A New York congressman says in a YouTube video that Michael Jackson was a "pervert."

Rep. Peter King said society is "glorifying" a "low-life" while ignoring the efforts of teachers, police officers, firefighters, veterans and volunteers.

Jackson was acquitted of molesting a boy.

In the video, the congressman says the "day in and day out" coverage of Jackson's death is "too politically correct."

He conceded that Jackson "may have been a good singer" and "did some dancing."

King is among the possible Republican contenders for the seat held by Democratic Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (JILL'-uh-brand.)

King has said in the past that he represents the interests of "blue-collar conservatives."

The media will not cover this event as extensively if there were no need for it. The world recognizes and celebrates him because of his positive contributions to humanity through his outstanding talents and not for his imperfections.

The difference between Michael Jackson and Peter King is really simple: Michael Jackson produced art that will transcend time and his own controversies while he was alive. Countries will rise and fall, and people will discover Thriller, just as people discovered the Beatles, Elvis, Louis Armstrong, Mozart, etc. Peter King won't even be a footnote in the history books.

Wow, while defending the media coverage of Michael Jackson against Al Sharpton criticism this morning; Billy of "Morning Joe" also stated that the Media had "white wash" Michael Jackson molestation charges as well. However, I didn't hear Joe or Billy talk about how the Republic Party or the media has white wash the numerous "self admitted" adulteries of the Republican leaders.

Well, that was entirely mean-spirited and gratuitous. He could have left it with criticism of the constant coverage. This is a good example of why he won't be the next governor of New York.

If memory serves, Jackson was tried and aquitted of molestation charges. It is very possible that he was guilty, but he was found not guilty by a jury of his peers. What good is King doing by dragging Jackson's name through the mud? Let the man rest in peace! If king doesn't like the press coverage, can he not change the channel?

Representative King, who truly deserves that honorific The Member, is showing the world a fine example of the worst of Long Island -- a kind of knuckle-headed no-class racism. He totally misses the point of art and journalism and life, for that matter. I don't have money to contribute, but I would be proud to work for his defeat.
