Taste Of Chicago Attendance Down 500,000 From Last Year: Estimate

We do know a little more than three million people have come out to enjoy the food fest over the past 10 days. And that number is down by about half a million from last year's attendance.

not surprising. the taste is pointless, boring, overpriced, unappetizing, greasy, fattening, touristic, and dangerous. who would want to go to that ?

As a resident of Chicago, you could not drag me down to that nasty fesitval. It's crowded, smelly, and it seems there are only people there now to 1. shoot people or 2. get drunk and fight for no reason. I simply cannot imagine the city earns a profit from this festival as there are so many police officers and city workers that have to be paid over time....I say it's time to shut it down!

Many residents of Chicago don't attend the taste anymore. Because it's expensive and barbaric. The only thing good about it is the beautiful gardens, fountain, the lake and variety of trees. It seems like the violent fools go there to eat with their loaded guns and alcoholics go for a brawl. I'll attend the taste charity prebash.
