Peter King

Days after he posted a video calling Michael Jackson a pervert, Rep. Pete King says his office has been flooded with calls and the majority have been positive.

King told the NY Post that his office phones have been ringing off the hook with "hundreds and hundreds" of calls, with many callers thanking him for saying what had gone unsaid about Michael Jackson.

"I think I hit a raw nerve," King said.

Many other calls, however, were threatening and negative.

Meanwhile, Jackson fans are rallying to raise money to defeat King and get him out of office.

The video, if you missed it yesterday, is below.

What does it say about a State Legislator who does not respect the system of Justice who acquitted Michael Jackson of the charges that he now labels Jackson with?

The question he asks about whether or not we would want our children and grandchildren in the presence, unsupervised, with Michael Jackson, really says it all. Exactly what kind of parents were those parents of the children who eventually filed those charges? What kind of people would have permitted their children to be in such close company with ANY celebrity unless they were using their children for the extortion of money. There is enough documentation about those parents to raise enough suspicion and to present enough evidence to provide enough doubt to help acquit Jackson.

So this man should just hush or substantiate his allegations of today. Does he not have anything else to do in his day job? If not, then, perhaps he needs to find some more meaningful work. As far as I know, the only accomplishment he will have to remember when he dies is his big, fat mouth. He embarrasses himself.

1.6 million people registered to attend the memorial service for Michael Jackson. That's not even counting the number of fans worldwide.

How many people congratulated you, Mr. King?

Mr. King, I don't agree with you much, but here you are right on the money.

That's not the point. This country is in too much trouble for an elected official who is supposed to be attending to the country's business to take time out to post that garbage. That is pure patronizing to the homophobic, dark, racist side of the GOP, or in other words, people he can pull over to his size to add to his existing base.

The US Senate's moment of silence allows for commentary from the political arena.

What impresses me most about this issue is that anyone mentioning the child abuse gets hammered by the fans. For me it's a deal breaker. Pedophiles don't get the saintly halo in my house.
