Investigation of environmental links to disease. This is something almost every thinking American already knows and understands - the list of polluted sites and associated cancers is long and chemical additives to water and food are well-know to cause health problems. But CDC investigation will be something else that Republicans can loudly and snidely oppose! Their campaign contributors - chemical companies, industrial farm operators and other money-makers - will cheer on the "doubts" about the science and attacks on "socialists" who want to destroy "the best food system in the world".
