Rumor has it the Obama family will vacation in Martha's Vineyard next month, but they aren't the first members of American royalty to set foot on the area's windswept sand. The Clintons have also been seen around town eating ice cream, jogging, and working on their golf swings. And for decades, the Kennedy family has retreated to its compound in Hyannis Port, Massachusetts, on the nearby peninsula of Cape Cod.

Makes me think of Jackie Kennedy ( Hate the name 'Jackie O'), whom i LOVE. But hope the Obama's too will go regularly to add a bit of spice to its, i suppose, waspy feel.

Instead of vacationing on MV with the other multi-millionaires why doesn't Obama take his family to the West to visit the National Parks which are some of the Jewels in America's Crown.....I bet MO has not been there. They can hike and picnic. Environmentalists would be thrilled. The children and family would be active and set an example for other families as MO likes to do. The kids might camp out. The Grand Canyon, and Lake Tahoe are among the most magnificent scenery in the world. This might instill in them all a real love of the land and the environment as well as the joys of hiking.

Some of these posts really make me laugh. Everyone is so worried about the Obama's on their vacation. Truth known, they pay their own way on many of these junkets.

If you will remember when ex Pres. Bush (W) was coasting in his last year in office, he took many trips to far off lands just to say a fond farewell to the leaders of the various countries. Did anyone complain back then? I think not. He could have just picked up the phone, but that wasn't good enough.

Just don't let them fly the parallel course JFK Jr. flew on the night of his death. If I didn't know better that sits around a military base that tests missile to air rockets. JFK Jr. didn't die the way they think he did. My notes from that night do not jive with anything the media stated. Those coming from Bob Arnott who flew the parallel course and made numerous observations. Tell the Obama's to fly commercial. Seriously. If we are testing weapons, and one goes south, as I suspect one did on the night of John's death, it could take out Obama's plane or chopper. Trust me on this one, this is not a safe path to fly.

Given the appalling economic conditions Martha Vineyard is a poor choice. MV is not Obama's world nor was it Clinton's world.

How interesting that we conveniently carve out double standards when it comes to those who abuse others sexually -- and, in this instance, I am not talking about abuse that was reciprocated. I am talking abut sexual abuse of a stranger -- the woman who was ridiculed by so many but had her day in court and won in that BC settled in the amount of $850,000 (I think it was).

This has to be said every time we see "praise" of Bill Clinton.
