Once upon a time, he tells the August issue of Details, his life "was like [the movie] Risky Business. My parents were out of town, they left me a bunch of money, the car, and the house, and I didn't know when they were coming home."

Whatever happened to his sister Justine Bateman? She's disappeared since Family Ties and a TV movie back in the day.
That's nice, but I have two questions:
1) Will we ever see part two of that episode of "It's Your Move" with The Dregs Of Humanity? (anybody who gets this reference is my friend for life)
2) More importantly, WHEN ARE THEY MAKING THE ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT MOVIE!!!???!!!

He emerged as a surprisingly good actor. Arrested Developement was awesome.
It kind of reminds me of Alec Baldwin's reinvention from romantic comedy cookie cutter acting to very interesting self-centered bad-guy almost comical characters.

This just goes to show that nothing good can happen when a kid is in show business. There are only a handful of well-adjusted people like Jodie Foster, Fred Savage, Peter Billingsley, etc.
I love Jason Bateman, and he's lucky he didn't end up like Brad Renfro or Gary Coleman.
Jason Bateman seems like a good guy, but all of a sudden he's David Bowie during Bowie's cocaine riddled Berlin years.

I have always liked Jason Bateman and his sister.....but I am so tired of hearing how they all used drugs and alchohol. Get a life and stop thinking we care about your past......we dont!!!!!!!!!!!
One of my favs...sounds like he was amazingly close to becoming the child star cliche.
I really wouldn't say he is the only one who has comeback from Risky Business. Ever heard of Mr. Cruise?
