Thank you to HP for this interview.
It seems to perfectly sum him up for me. Sweet. Humble. Special. Sincere. Gentle and appreciative of his gifts and his fans etc. after all the fame and fortune. A pioneer and a muse in so many ways.

I grew up with MJ like so many others did, but didn't really "get" him until this past week.

Peace to you Michael. Visit us often.

What a beautiful man - inside and out. Wish everyone could see this interview. Hard to believe, still, that he is gone.

Hope he is at peace at last.

This is the type of interview they should repeat over and over again on TV. But the interviewer was intelligent and asked excellent questions and Michael answered beautifully. I feel so bad even in death, they are not leaving his human body alone, they have his brain, they told us, what for, to make us sadder or what? They haven't buried him, why. They are still torturing his body. But I must admit, I do think the family loves him and if they haven't buried his body, it must be for a good reason.
Listen, I don't know if he did those terrible things to little boys or not, but one thing for sure I do know, besides being An American Legend, An American Ion, A World Humantarian, Michael Jacskon was so kind, so gentle, so soft, he really was a child of God.
Michael suffered at the hands of so many people and he did not deserve it. He was so fragile going to court everyday. I can still see his fragile body and his mannerism. He was such a gentle soul, I am sure that tortured him so much. And Jermaine is wrong, Michael would not have wanted to be buried in Neverland, he never went back there. People turned it into something ugly where Michael found such beauty and made children and handicapped children happy with popcorn, ice cream, rides, and hot dogs. Something he never had in his childhood.

Michael was so sweet and generous with his energy and creativity. I miss him so much. I wish that the media didn't love attacking successful people so much. Perhaps then Michael would've been able to give us more of the music in his soul.

He was so sweet, this was his true nature before the addiction I guess.

No. The addiction began in 1984 when the fire burnt his head. He was sweet all the way through and even the addiction couldn't take that away. That's the real Michael, sweet and pure and no addiction can ever remove that from him.

Excellent interview. I'm glad I got to see it. And like some of you noted, he did appear a bit guarded and wary. I will miss the joy he brought. I wish he had been able to do his tour. Although I would not have been able to see it, I wanted to see him triumphant again for all of us fans who never stopped caring for him.

Poor guy was treated so horribly while he was here. I am glad he is at rest now.

Wow. I agree with those here impressed with Michael's entire bearing in this interview. Handsome, intelligent, articulate, knowledgeable, humble, genuine, real. Geez, what happened to that very beautiful person?

His responses regarding fame, the sources of inspiration, the political meaning of music, war and peace, thankfulness, personal responsibility, and work all expressed a depth I didn't know Michael had. I was very impressed, and doubly sad at his passing.

As for his appearance, I thought he looked absolutely beautiful. What cosmetic work he'd done to that point--which, I must say, appeared to be substantial--had enhanced his appearance, not detracted from it. Moreover, I found it interesting when in the interview he readily admits that he's black, especially considering all the speculation regarding Michael's self-loathing as it related to his race.

Elvis was similarly beautiful before the combined effects of unmaginable, exponential fame and drug addiction took their tragic toll. Perhaps more than mental illness, prescription drug addiction was at the root cause of Michael's derangement and tragic death.

ah, poignant and beautiful. So shy...

great interview. He looked amazing. Would have been great if the surgery had ended right here.

Others have said it and I will just reiterate. Why do you not know what you have until it is gone? He really was a sweet, sweet spirit.
