Miley Cyrus Wears Thigh High Boots, Is Good For America

Miley Cyrus is the August cover of Elle magazine, and inside the teen queen poses in black thigh-high boots and talks about her new clothing line with Max Azria for Wal Mart.

"The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line," Miley told Elle. "Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don't have it available."

She also talks about her friendships (and one-time romance) with Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato.

"It's hard for all of us. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick and Demi, we don't need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on."

And when my daughter was Miss Cyrus' age she wasn't allowed to listen to the likes of "Nasty Boys" by Janet Jackson, leave the house dressed like a dancer working the local "gentleman's bar", or be home later than 11:00 pm. (both my girls still talk about it and they're 36 and 29 respectively). Granted...­technology­, the times, the economy, and all the other things that have progressed over the years have changed. However, the one thing that hasn't changed is this: a kid will only do as much as the parent allows. Maybe Mom & Dad should be interviewed? Duh!

Darn these teen idols now-a-days! Why in my day teen idols wore army surplus tents that covered every square inch head to toe! They wouldn't allow themselves to be photographed with the make-up all over their face either I tell you. They didn't need make-up 'cause they didn't promote any kind of sex-appeal­... They didn't need to! They were all major talents. Kids would pin their photos on the wall and stick them in their school locker out of pure music appreciati­on...
