I Like ItI Don’t Like It

New York Congressman Peter King (R) came under fire for his extremely harsh comments about Michael Jackson, calling him a "child molester," a "pervert," and a "pedophile." However, he's doubling down on his statement with his appearance tonight on "The O'Reilly Factor."

King told O'Reilly that he "stands by everything I said" in the video, and that there's nothing racist about it. King also claimed that his comments represented what "millions of Americans really felt."

Let me break this down for you:

*In case one...if someone molests your child would you take $20 million?? Since when did rape have a price? Any parent in their RIGHT mind would want the bastard thrown in jail

*It is a PROVEN fact that the father of Evan Chandler was jealous of the relationship with Michael and his son. He is on tape saying that his plan is to "ruin his career" and "when I get done with him ill have everything" Isnt it funny that AFTER he got his money he didnt want to cooperate with the police anymore?? Wouldnt you want JUSTICE done for your child?? Come on now!!!

*The second case..how is it that they asked a 13 year old kid "did Michael touch you inappropriately" and he answers "I think he did" how do you THINK someone molests you?? The parents tried swindling money from other celebrities also. It is also a known fact that they stole personal property from Michael's home, abused his animals and were disrespectful to his staff. How is it that your molested on a regular basis...tell your parents and they continue to let them hang out with the man who is supposedly TOUCHING your child

Thousands of kids came in and out of Michaels house. Only 2 accused him. Thousands were interviewed. Either thats a whole lot of people lying or nothing happened. I am going with the nothing happened angle. Everything else makes no sense...

Please keep in mind that 100 years from now, somebody will be playing a Michael Jackson video, while Peter King will be quite forgotten. I say it over & over, "Time heals all wounds, and wounds all heels".

Wrong - he is again doing what many know about blowhards - if you don't feel like they feel, then "you" are wrong! Michael was being celebrated NOT just for his celebrity or being an entertainer. He was a philanthrophist and has given monies to nations, persons, families, issues, and other programs to rid the world of hunger, poverty, bigotry, etc. Michael was a loving and giving person as attested by many who gave comments during the memorial. No doubt we all heard of good works which we had never heard of before, because Michael was not a BRAGGART or gaining favor at other people's expense. As to the "settled" claim of abuse from 1993, that "victim" is talking to many that he was merely doing his father Evan a favor to get some money and he is suffering with guilt and his relationship with his father has be destroyed because of those lies. So we have 2 cases - if this was Michael's nature, surely ther would have been many, many more claims. Michael had issues, as we are learning, but they were personally destructive. Let's give him his props for breaking barriers, opening doors, giving dollars, sharing his immense wealth, and having great talent. Had we treated him kinder in life, perhaps we would be quieter now at his passing.

I doubt very seriously that Mr. King could name ten people to which he is not related by blood or employment that actually would say that.

Since Rep. King just wants to express what "millions of Americans feel", then I'm waiting for him to declare former President Bush and Vice President Cheney (at a minimum) as war criminals.

Yep...I'll hold my breath.

You're right, since that IS what millions of Americans "feel". The fact is that there's plenty of available evidence to prove that Bush, Cheney, and a large number of their cadre of crooks and liars should be arrested and prosecuted. This is another example of the lies and slander that are to be so often found on Fox News, and the O'Reilly show, in particular. They wouldn't know the truth if it slapped them in the face, but they're all too quick to point accusatory fingers at those they disagree with, or who they see as "different". Useless propaganda tools, all of them.

I wonder...does Peter King research every famous person who dies, then make public pronouncements on every unproven allegation in their lives? Does he see it as his duty to smear people just days after their death? Has he never heard that is it rude to speak ill of the dead? Someday he will pass too, would he want someone to do this to him, to his family?

So some like minds joing Peter King in his vile statements about Michael Jackson since they believe like King that an extortionist blackmailed Michael Jackson and his insurance company paid this vile parent millions to stop the madness? Ok, an honest parent of any child truly abused goes to civil court ... even with the preponderance of evidence (not needing perfect evidence) for relief ... an honest parent does not blackmail a rich person because "they" need.want money .. they are more interested in justice for their child.

Peter King should have let the Jackson family bury their son/brother/father before he made such harsh comments. I think that is what most people are responding to...the timing of his comments.

If you think about it he(Peter King) may have gotten even more media coverage if he had waited until 07/08/09 (the day after his funeral) to make his remarks about all the media coverage.

Peter King has the right to his opinion. It was just bad timing. MJ fans already know that harsher and more shocking things will be said about him in the coming days/months/years.

Honestly, We'll never really know.
It'll forever between MJ and Macaulay Culkin.
He DID do careless stupid things ...without a doubt. Adult and kid sleepovers?...come on, that is weird dangerous territory.
I was inclined to believe as far as the accusations went that the other kid's parents were motivated out of greed. That was just a basic impression because they let MJ pay for alot of things. Which meant they either knew and didn't care or didn't know of anything but decided to take advantage of anyway.
Maybe he was a child at heart?... for all that he suffered as a child, he was shielded by his super-fame and super-wealth. Anyone doubting that doesn't create a bizarre mentality has only to look at Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.
But, he DID do alot for charities and for individual kids; -musically he created alot that will forever be a contribution to world culture.
I'm probably more charitable to MJ than to self-righteous hate spewing republicans.
I can tell you straightaway...no way in hell would I leave any of my kids alone in a room with either Bill O'Reilly or Peter King.
Their kind of self righteous hatefilled pomposity is a corrupting influence that the world would do better without.

Even if people share his opinion, his comments were ill timed and inappropriate. But the "compassionate" Republicans don't seem to care much about other people's feelings. So many of them are just plain mean. Just listen to Limbaugh and Coulter.

Republicans say "Everyone thinks so" or "Most people believe" and then complete the sentance with lies. They think the American people are so stooo pid that we will buy their con using word manipulation and suggestion.

People who protest too much about other people, particularly a certain type, usually means they have hidden tendancies of that type. Look at how I dispise John McCain and Sarah Palin so much. Part of it is probably because I am capable of those same hateful tendancies.

Look at those that persecuted Clinton. They are now being revealed for their hypocrisy.

That what you resist, you are, Peter King. Look in the mirror and search your soul. Most people believe that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Michael was judged not guilty and you should respect it.

Those people extorted money from Michael and they are the ones that should be in jail.

Micheal was not judged not guilty. Micheal settled out of court for 20 million dollars and claimed he was victimized for his money. Grow up.

Gee, you must be one of those thar history revisionists.

I clearly recall a jury delivering a verdict of not guilty.

Anyone else remember that?

You got your facts confused. Michael Jackson was found to be "Not Guilty" on all charges. A previous civil case in the 80's was settled for 20 million. The criminal case can't be "settled" as you are implying.

CherokeeGirl was correct. He did pay off some kid's parents several years earlier to avoid the circus of a trial.

But when he was accused again, he refused to pay and the case went to trial. The accuser and his mother were exposed as extortionists when it was discovered that they had done this before to somebody else.

MJ was found not guilty on all counts. Tom Snedon (sp?), the ridiculously over zealous prosecutor, went ballistic. That was enormous fun to watch!!!

Perhaps you should check your facts before you act like a condescending Bozo!

Repubs like King have this ug ly way of saying "what the american people want, what the american people need, how the american people think" ... yet they totally dismiss Nov. 4, 2008 as the majority of american people spoke for themselves ! My hope is that the majority of american people will speak again for themselves in the next election cycle ... by ousting all repubs since they insist on attempts to block american progress.

What bothers me most about this man's comments is not in the context of his biased opinion. What kills me is the total lack of elegance, sensitivity and plain manners this person shows. Spitting such a rant when there is a whole family grieving is unfortunate and plain low. If you hold such a privileged position, you just at least show a minimum elegance... a minimun of respect for a suffering mother, siblings and, above all, children. What is wrong with this person?? What did he win?? Jackson is dead. The insult is suffered by the family. This man is anything but a King... no decency, no manners, no nothing... A jewel, indeed. Simply the worst of America.

Congressman King says he’s only saying what others would like to say. Well I don’t feel that way and apparently millions of others around the world don’t feel that way either. It’s a shame that a United States Congressman has to act in such a common and vulgar way. I would have expected him to have some compassion, if not for the death of Mr. Jackson, then for the people in his district that may have respected Mr. Jackson. I believe this is why nothing gets done. Congress is filled with small minded petty people. We, as a people, should try to elect people that are interested in elevating our conversations as opposed to electing gutter dwellers such as Mr. King. One last thing, if Mr. King was no longer among the living, I would have said, I did not agree with him on many issues but may he rest in peace.
