Wedding Proposals Gone Wrong (VIDEO)

It's summer, the time for weddings! A few of my friends are getting married this summer and fall, so lately I've been thinking about this time-honored tradition. However, it wasn't until I ran across this compilation on Buzzfeed that I realized the plan does not always go perfectly, the ending is not always happy. So, for those of you thinking about popping the big question, I urge you to check out the videos below, which chronicle the terrible moments when that huge decision you've made turns out to be poorly planned or the wrong decision entirely. Make sure you don't up like these poor souls.

This is not the player's fault; this reporter is just an idiot.

It was OBVIOUSLY a put-on.

I agree about a bunch of these being fake. Sorta reminds me of the rash of staged "embarrassing wedding moments" YouTubes that went around for a while (you know, First Man forgetting the ring, falling down and taking down the backdrop, etc). The late-night TV show and the "family Christmas" ones are the worst offenders.

And yes, there is something very weird about public marraige proposals. They seem to happen at Atlanta Braves or Hawks games a lot. It's almost like people need that attention or something. Kinda sad when you really think about it I suppose.

It should be an private thing, this public thing is I believe used to force the girl to say yes.

I don't agree; my husband proposed in public and I'm glad that he did. It's like you're so happy about finding someone to spend your life with that you want to 'shout it from the rooftops' so to speak. My family and friends were there and he had a photographer take pictures, so I get to actually go back and 're-live' it through pictures. If some want to make theirs private, that's good too; I'm just saying there is nothing wrong with doing it publically either.

Not funny to horn in on what may have been the worst and most embarrassing moment of someone's life. This article shouldn't be here... the only ones that are ok are the football one and the Disneyland one. In the rest of the cases, someone has been horribly embarrassed, and in most, more than one person.

These videos are terrible. On what planet is it acceptable to be entertained at other people's humiliation? And your point about YouTube is dead wrong.
