UPI:

Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., said Thursday he would invoke privilege if asked about advice he gave to Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev., on handling an extramarital affair.

Coburn said he was talking to Ensign about his tryst with a former staffer in his capacities as a doctor and a man of the cloth, Roll Call reported.

Pro torture, adulterous, anti heath care for all Christians.

I never knew there could be such a thing.

The cult Coburn is protecting-- Undercover among America's secret theocrats

" Beau let's say I hear you r.aped three little girls. And now here you are at Ivanwald. What would I think of you, Beau?”

Beau shrank into the cushions. “Probably that I'm pretty bad?”

“No, Beau. I wouldn't. Because I'm not here to judge you. That's not my job. I'm here for only one thing.”

Hillary Clinton is also a member of that C Street group known as "The Family". There was a story about it here on HuffPo back in May of 2008

2 Corinthians 11
14And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. 15It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve.

As a doctor when I offer advise to a friend or colleague I certainly don't hold the privilege that comes with my license unless that friend or colleague is officially under my care. Hiding behind privilege is a crock in this case.

Could he have recommended an abortion? I would guess if this was leaked to the press as a possibility, Coburn would sing.

In Jezebel's day, the false prophets feasted at the king's table (1 Ki. 18:19), while the true prophets were hid out in a cave and secretly fed there (1 Ki. 18:4). Popularity and affluence, therefore, must not be a criteria either when trying to identify a false prophet, since they sometimes have large followings. False prophets speak with conviction, since they expect their lying words to be fulfilled (Ezek. 13:6). False teachers can also sound authoritative in their teachings (1 Tim. 1:7).

I'm sure Ensign, when telling Coburn about his affair, the first thing he asked was, "Can
I speak to you as a clergy instead of a fried"? Please These people will lie about anything and make it up as they go along. I would like to know what cult Coburn is part of, because he surely does not practice what God's law is.

So when will he treat them for being against "taking care of the least of us"?

Would Jesus want that as a priority?

Wow, HuffPo -- what happened to my post?

The dialog box said it was too long, so I cropped it, then it failed to appear as edited.

Maybe it's my computer.

Anyway . . . the super secrecy of this organization should be extremely disturbing to everyone. Why the need for the cloak-and-dagger melodrama?

What are they trying to hide -- and why?

Hey, Sarah! -- talk about domestic terrorists! -- here's a whole rathole full of 'em!

Coburn should get himself a real lawyer - he is falling victim to a problem that a certain number of physicians have - they think they are the smartest person in the room and therefore they can be an expert on everything .
When the article presents -(refering to the girlfriend's husband's statement )-
- - "I categorically deny everything he said," Coburn said. - -
This may be the point that Coburn's "privilege" goes out the window - he cannot pick and chose the moments & aspects to reveal information - if he wants to invoke "privilege" he should stay totally silent - just respond "no comment" - once he wades into the discussion and make pronouncements about what did or did not happen, he cannot then suddenly decide that he does not want to answer related but uncomfortable questions.

Rachel Maddow had an excellent piece about all this, last night on her show.

It seems there is an organization, referred to as, "The Family," which operates out of a DC townhouse on C Street, and acts as a residence for members of Congress -- Ensign, Sanford, and others -- and doubles as a fundamentalist-Christian "counseling" center, or something, and has some very wierd prescriptions (and proscriptions) for its clients -- and the rest of us, too, which is very, very scary.

This is how it goes . . .

One night, in April 1935 (no, it's not a typo -- it's really 1935!), this really strange guy -- are you ready for this? -- had a vision from god (no kidding) who told him that the "old" Christianity was all wrong -- helping the poor, healing the sick, blah, blah, blah -- and that the "real" Christianity (of the future, presumably) should be focused on -- get ready! -- amassing even more wealth for the already rich!!

No, I'm not making this up. And, it gets even better . . .

In addition, the disciples of this perversion of Christian (and otherwise) logic, were specifically chosen by god! to rule over the rest of us -- and, -- here's the best part! -- can do no wrong, whatever it is they "choose" to do: adultery, child-molestation, wife-beating, etc., etc. -- it's all good, b/c god chose them!

And . . . once they've monopolized the nation's wealth, it's their

Aren't we so happy our conservative CongressMEN ascribe to this concept. Of course, if they're all getting pregnancy counseling, it explains so much.
