Emma Watson's Wardrobe Malfunction: "At Least I Was Wearing Underwear" (VIDEO)

Hermione herself, Emma Watson, charmed David Letterman and everyone watching when she sat down to push the new Harry Potter movie Wednesday night.

The Potter movie premiered Tuesday in London in the pouring rain, and her vintage dress at one point needed a little readjusting and she accidentally showed a flash of underwear.

'Tell us what's going on here,' said Letterman as he held up a picture of the incident.

'This was a small wardrobe malfunction, it happens,' Emma laughed, adding, 'At least I'm wearing underwear.'

She added, head in hands, 'I'm still learning, I'm still learning!'

Watson also confirmed to Dave that she will be starting college in the US this fall, although the institution of higher learning went unnamed.

the interview with letterman didnt go well. watson was churlish and defensive and you can tell letterman was getting annoyed. didnt like her. she couldnt answer simple questions and got defensive.

A friend of mine was a guest on his show a few years back and Dave was rude to her for no reason, other than possibly because he anecdotes were funnier than his comments.

One of the few starlets who has handled her teenage fame and wealth really well, and has stayed grounded. I read somewhere that she gets straight As, and was offered admission to Cambridge, Yale, and Brown. Good for her! It's nice to see a smart, posied young woman in the media.

No kidding. Watching the first movie it's so amazing how different she looks. Most kids you can see even when they are young that they are going to turn out really attractive, but I wouldn't have guess she would have turned out so attractive. But by the 3rd or 4th movie you could start to see she was going to be a knock out. But the last year or so, since she turned 18... wow. At 24 or 25 she's going to be absolutely stunning. And I love the accent.

..and they are boring underwear to boot! My goodness, doesn't this young lady realize she has a movie to promote! Her producers are probably sorely disappointed in this refreshingly realistic young actress. (Truthfully I think that the HP series producers must be very proud of the overall integrity of the trio.)

Overall, she gave a great interview. She and Dave exchanged friendly barbs. BTW, she is apparently handling her fortune, fame and teenage years in a fine fashion.
