Attending the G-8 conference doing gawd knows what.

IMHO, the existence of BRIC now renders anything done at the G-8 moot.

And the "stocks," too. The play on words alone is almost too delicious considering they'd be filled with "traders." (traitors...)

If true, this is absolutely galling and outrageous! Doesn’t a AAA rating or for the matter the whole rating system mean anything anymore? I am just sickened with what the ethics of our great country has come to. On top of all the shenanigans being perpetrated by management of big business, the very institutions whose sole job is to provide some level of assurance to the public (S&P, Moody’s for rating financial instruments; CPA firms for certifying proper financial records) are being duplicitous and complicit in this wholesale fraud. It’s extremely disheartening, and there just does not seem any end to it.

This ain't rocket science folks: If nothing really changes, the same thing keeps happening.

And the people in Washington are being well paid by the people on Wallstreet to assure that nothing really changes.

It's a win-win-but everyone else loses game that's working our just fine so for the people in Washington and Wallstreet.

And as for the rest of us: Just keep paying your taxes and feeding your pension funds and noboby gets hurt. They are robbing us all blind. They have even figured out how to steal from future generations through deficit spending.

It's working so well for them, why would they stop?

Well, Obama, Giethner and Summers made this all possible by not breaking them up when they might have had the chance. They shoveled $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ willy nilly into a relatively small sized problem and turned it into Godzilla.

Now, Obama says he want to "regulate" Godzilla. Guess what Godzilla is saying??????

Get ready for the next "collapse". Now that they have our houses because Congress was too corrupt to pass any version of "cramdown", why wouldn't the Mega-banks do this?
After all, it's capitalism in all it's glory! And we loves Capitalism, don't we? Yar!

No, no, there's green shoots, light at the end of the tunnel, a rainbow and a pot of gold all watched over by day-glo fairies (no, wait--that was the 60s).

Anyway, Hoover told America the same things. If you were looking for the Depression, you were two weeks late!!

Now we have Obama and Wall Street telling us the same thing while the criminals are setting up another shell game on the corner. Watch out for this Fall. We are far from out of danger, and it will get much worse--especially now that Obama has capitulated to his Wall Street masters.

Well, haven't we been telling others like ourselves to put their money, if they have any, into credit unions, and take it out of the majors? You'd think the big sophisticated investment managers of world wide funds would see a bus coming? That's what gets me when the neos want to blame the meltdown on homeowners. How sophisticated are we? But those 50 million dollar a year guys actually bought this k.rap by the truckload. So how smart does that make them and how much of the blame for where we are do they deserve?!

(sorry, furby, i ranted...)

In Canada it is Now 20 Times the Average Canadian Worker
In Japan it is 11 Times the Average Japanese Worker

Philip, still "shilling" for the people, I see? What are you, some kind of Constitutional advocate? We don't want justice here anymore. If we did we'd do something about it! Exactly what, I don't know, but something. So stop telling us the truth. It makes my head hurt.

Good post....but I am at the point of such disgust with the people in Washington. Wall Street, and the financial institutions.........I want OUT OF HERE........ALmost all ...not all the members of Congress toodles along, and did nothing for 8 years to call for action on sub prime mortgages...and all the rest...cds, dirivatives etc......... New York State attempted to look into the sub prime mortgage market, and still are.....but sadly the horse ran away with the cow.....too late....too bad.........DISGUSTED>
