The Hill:

Republicans facing tough elections in 2010 don't want Sarah Palin campaigning with them.

Though the soon-to-be-former Alaska governor is seen as popular with the conservative grass roots, several Republicans said she'd help them by staying home in Wasilla.

These comments from more forward thinking R's make a lot of sense.
Ms. Palin is one of the most divisive people in politics today.
The problems for the R's is that she is MOST divisive within her own party.
She will fracture the GOP faster than they realize and they are already set to implode.

Where would that be, exactly? Chortling over her gaff in quitting a position to which she was elected for four years, yet unable to execute on two of them? OR Laughing up our sleeve at the danger she will do to the Repugs when she comes Outside to the Lower 48?

Really? Cause that's what they said to us during the campaign -- they had us right where they wanted. Funny thing is, THEY LOST.

Makes me think of that SNL skit with Bush and McCain where Will Ferrel(as Bush) said about McCain: "when you go into the voting booth and vote for John McCain, think of this face. Think of me, George W Bush".

So good, I hope Palin campaigns for ever Republican candidate in 2010, it'll make the defeat that much easier. Voters will run like hell from any candidate that loon from Alaska likes.

Not one to miss a chance to exploit the moment . . . .

Palin no doubt has prepared letters posting prices to STAY away . . . greater amount . . . further away.

Palin will not play well in "Jersey" (New Jersey) even with the Repubs., who are more moderate here than in other parts of the nation.

Outside of Crackerstan she really has no appeal . . .

70% of 19% hardly lights a fire . . . the biggest problem is the Republican are down to a pitiful few sleazy adulterers, old geezers with even OLDER ideas and not much else worth considering . . . .

The voting population in New Jersey is a lot more diverse than the base that sister Sarah riles up. They aren't afraid of "'ferners" and immigrants. Her speeches are thinly veiled race bashes. Unfortunately, my predominantly red state, her presence and neo-con, psycho-religiosity is gobbled up like hotcakes.

I'd really like Palin to drink a bottle of whiskey and take the honorable way out, but I suspect it's not going to happen.

Roy Blunt believes he's a shoe-in because the "retiring" Sen Kit Bond has anointed him. He convinced former Sen and statesman Jack Danforth to abandon the candidate he himself recruited. Blunt's son announced around the end of his 1st term he was not going to seek re-election. There was something there. Apparently enough to make him get out of politics. Of course, his excuse was that he had done so much for MO he was spent. A lawsuit was settled for him. Sound familiar? Years ago, former GOP State AG Bill Webster went fron his gubernortorial campaign to a jail cell. Daddy Blunt was former Secy of State, an unsuccessful run for the gov's mansion, then elected to Congress from Springfield area...no surprise there. MO was among the last to decide between Obama and McCain. Bond was in photos w/Ted Stevens and his cronies at Steven's "the lodge/home in Alaska. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. MO is a terribly corrupt red and redneck state. Yeah, they'd welcome SP, but they need the money she brings...they don't like female politicians.
