The Hill:

Republicans facing tough elections in 2010 don't want Sarah Palin campaigning with them.

Though the soon-to-be-former Alaska governor is seen as popular with the conservative grass roots, several Republicans said she'd help them by staying home in Wasilla.

Palin really scares me...

I read stories about her and I find myself nearly incapacitated with laughter... Sometimes it is hard for me to catch my breath.

Right now I cannot get the grin off my face, and it hurts some even... I never had this happen in politics before ever.

Actually I think she does more good for the Dem by remaining in the media and continuing to run her mouth, the GOP is becoming extinct with all her help.

My suggestion to her, if the GOP says walk-- she runs. She could be quite helpful to a party out there. SP stick your guns-- and dont be media shy. Don't let the 'music' stop.

Now, if she has any smarts (doubt it, but for sake of discussion), she'll take this latest from her fellow brethren, lay lower, study, study, study the issues, write her book and then reamerge. However, she won't because she feels more so of needing to be constantly in the public eye as a way to maintain a political presence. She doesn't get it and it appears she never will. And, I believe those in the know in the Rethug party have also figured that out about her.

That will not be enough. She can never live down the ethics complaints and the lies, much less QUITTING an elected office without a good reason (scandal, impeachment).

Told 'cha. I said they would feel she is too much of a wildcard and that they are between a rock and a hard place as to whether or not having her appear at any of their campaign events. The fact she made her announcement without running it by fellow Rethug's and more importantly those that can help her in the future and not only she helping them in 2010 proved to be more than just a risky move for her. They came to the conclusion she is more of a liability than not regardless if she strong with their base. That speaks volumes.

"Supposedly" she called Cheney. I feel that info was put out by her and/or her media g/o/o/n/s. I found it interesting that tidbit came out AFTER she made her announcement and when the f/l/a/c/k started as to her actual reasons why she quit. Sure, she could have spoken with Cheney, but "when" did she do that? A couple of months ago and not just a few days before she said she was quitting? This way if Cheney is asked whether he did talk with Palin, he can always say sure and it would be accurate but not necessarily the whole truth. Just like her reasons for quitting. It's all in the phrasing.

Well the good news is that she is going to help Perry Tx (R). Maybe it will sink him.

Now what was that quote Sarah used in 2008???
"There is a special place in H...LL for women who don't support other women" aaah thats it so she will be working against Kay Hutchison...LOL!! I hope this quote is brought up, maybe if there is enough dirty campaigning we can sneak a dem in there.

It would help the Republicans out a great deal if they stopped attempting to take this country in the direction they want it to go (for casually nefarious reasons or not), and instead find out from the people what direction the people have in fact gone and are going. That doesn't even qualify as math, it's observation. The right should put away it's calculators in trying to figure out ways to manipulate the masses into some obscure semblance of submission, and dominate their senses instead to reveal what's right in front of them. Namely the truth. America has grown up, let's see if they can do the same.

They ar elike the French revolutionary who, when watching a crowd rush by in the street, said "They are my people. I must find out where they are going so I can lead them."

The Republicans need to know that things have changed, and acknowledge that. They need to use this point in time as a jumping off point, not the 50's. From here on out, they can shape and mold the country as they like, but they can not go back and change it.

I do not want the republicans to shape and mode the country. We have enough to over come as it is.

What a great message she would send to the voters for any Republicans associated with her - "Elect me and if things don't go my way or if you're mean to me or if I stop having fun I'll martyr myself by resigning. Therefore, you won't be stuck with med and I can go on to more interesting, money-making things with people who love me."

I wonder how soon before she gets a new house in the D.C. area to be closer to her higher calling.

Of course, she'll say something like "You know it's better for Alaska if I'm not there so the new governor can focus on progressing Alaska. But I'll miss it so much. It's a shame I'm being chased out of the state. Alaska will always be in my heart. Alaska made me what I am today."

So, I hear these guys saying that they'll welcome her if they can USE HER to make them money. Not because they believe she is a knowledgeable politician, but because her appeal with the base, which is ALL know is NOT because of what she KNOWS, will make them money.

Nice.

The base she stimulates isn't the kind that gets you elected.

It's just the kind that gets you pregnant....or makes sexually frustrated conservative Republican men excited (scary)

They don't have money but they do have votes. Don't worry about the money, they'll get that from their rich members.

The problem with Palin is she is just too extreme. Hard-core anti abortion even w/ rape. Fanatically religious to the point that she did the speaking in tongues thing (gads that was creepy!). Everything about her just draws attention to WHO the Republican base really are, and the moderates flee to the left. Keep Palin coming, I say!

Fanatically religious. The Pharisees were the same way. And Jesus rejected them too.

I feel sorry for the true Republicans. In my lifetime I have known some very respectable Republicans, and this non ending nightmare thrust in the news daily since our President was elected, must stun them to say the least. My question is why is such utter ignorance given media attention. S
