Oh, please! Who among us wouldn't be embarrassed by pictures of us from the '70's?! And, why is everybody focused on what he did in the 70's while completely ignoring his later work as a guest lecturer at Harvard, as a successful author and most recently as host of a really good, progressive radio show?

I'd like to have the 70's back for a couple of years.
There was GREAT Music in the 70's. GREAT.
Concerts were great experiences back then.
Some of the 70's Bands are STILL Touring. Those that aren't have Tribute Bands.

Oh, yea and hey man, ... it's like Far-Out that Al Franken is a Senator.
That makes him one of the coolest Senators of, like, forever.
As a Senator, he'll be like, tubular. Way-out.

LOL, takes me back to my middle school days. The 70's had lots of goofy stuff, like platform shoes, polyester leisure suits and disco, but lots of really cool stuff, like bell bottom jeans, earth shoes, George Carlin, Led Zeppelin and The Who.

Wow. That sucked. I love Al Franken because when I was a young actress I used to watch him always say every Saturdau night in front of the Mirror, " I am OKAY. I know I make mistakes, and I am not perfect. I know when times get tough, I may seem weak, but I am OK I say, and I am still fine, I can get through the day."

Anyway- I will add more later, I hope tomorrow, if I don't overdose on more than 4 tylenol; tonight. My advice is four Tylenol a Day Keeps The Doctor Away.

No, of course not - it's one of the dumb entertainment bits that HuffPo falls back on to get people to the site and look at other stuff and hopefully absorb. Al's my senator and I'm proud of that, and we can all go to IMDB or YouTube to look at his movie stuff.

Franken's One Man Mobile Uplink bits had me wanting him to run for office decades ago, though I had no idea if he had the aptitude. Over the past decade he's shown himself to be a studious and intelligent policy wonk who will likely bring more than just quick wit to the office.

So, for those saying we're "doomed," thanks for a new use of "doomed" I'd never heard of.

Yeah, that was Frankin and Davis, they were on SNL in the early days.

I even saw them do a live show at my college. I had a Frankin and Davis T-Shirt, it was white and had Frankin and Davis in black letters. Pretty cheap, lol.

Frankin re-emerged on SNL later on, but he was one of the originals.
