Proud, happy and thankful to be a vegetarian. 2 years and going strong and I've never felt better in my life.

Delusional? Ohhh, I see. I am unlike you and, thus, I must be delusional and not of sound mind.

Nice.

I heart pork rinds. I agree, mass produced food is pretty disgusting, but at least we're not wasting any part of the pig. In SF, there's a local company that has created "gourmet" pork rinds and sell them for $4 per teeny tiny bag. absolute deliciousness as they melt on your tongue.

I'm just more hungry now. I grew up with these things. I've always known that how they were made. However, from a Latin family it's a matter-of-fact kind of thing.

My gringo family back in Indiana used to eat pork brain sandwiches, a side of pork rinds, and wash it all down with a 6-pack of brew. Of course, they've mostly all passed on to that Big Deep-Fried Pork Jowl in the Sky now.

Wow, I had always assumed that the making of pork rinds was a sterile and appetizing process, I am shocked, SHOCKED !!

Ah, yes. I remember being seven years old, happily eating a bag of pork rinds, and my father telling me what they really were. I never ate them again.

Just one of the many childhood experiences that made me into the vegetarian I am today.

Reminds me of the cheer they did against us back home in New Mexico:

Chicharrones, chicharrones,
Greasy, greasy, greasy,
We can beat these Gringos,
Easy, easy, easy!

Salud

Now imagine an alien civilization doing this with our bodies. Remember the scene in War Of the Worlds where the giant tripod walkers would suck humans up, shred them then spray their liquidated bodies onto the ground like some kind of fertilizer. I get the same feeling from this video except we're the alien tripod walkers and the pigs are the humans. Pretty disturbing seeing those gigantic crates of flesh being dumped out. And to think that happens everyday, all those pigs slaughtered. If an alien civilization comes along lets hope we'll make great pets :)

funny...I thought I was the only one who thought along those same lines.

all this talk about finding other intelligent life out there in the universe, I often wonder why???
so we can do to them what we do to the other living beings that share this planet with us - or- be careful what you wish for...we may come upon an alien life form that is far more superior and advanced than we are and just as brutal, savage and barbaric...that would be the ultimate irony...humans getting a taste(pun intended) of their own medicine.

Yeah... except for the fact that these are being processed for human consumption, not for the sake of taking pleasure in mutilation...

One could say the same about lion flaying a wildebeest for dinner.

I spend my time thinking about the poor lettuces being eating alive or the screams of the tomatoes. Yes, plants can feel and plants can communicate. The circle of life requires that we all be eaten by something. Right now humans are buried to be eaten by bacteria and fungi.
