I have no more patience with this warmongering America. It is not an America I am proud of. Have we learned nothing from history? From Vietnam? From Iraq? From religious wars over millennia?

Who do we, The President, Congress, and the US Military commanders think we are? An omnipotent country? We're not. And why drag the British back into this just to give us support? Their people don't want another war anymore than Americans do.

Do NOT increase the troops in Afghanistan: there is no end to the drain of American lives nor public money if we fully engage there. We can not be the world's policemen. It is physically impossible.

We have problems growing in America at an alarming rate. Growing unemployment, growing homelessness, growing financial ruin. Americans are feeling alarmed and stressed.

To militarily fully embed our country in Afghanistan is morally wrong. What exactly is the end point and how many years and deaths will it take to meet it? No answers are there?

Teatoring already, another unjustified full war might just pull us so low as a country, we break.

Gee, with Iraq under our belts, and control. And Ally Israel , once we have Afghanistan with us and loaded up with military equipment and troops, Iran is basically sitting in middle of a triangle of military power. And who has all the oil???
Just a thought

Why are the Taliban our problem? I guess Osama Bin Laden is forgotten. What was the purpose of these two wars? What is the mission, now? Who really caused 9/11? Does anyone even care anymore? Oh, yes, I forgot..we are now into nation building; spreading peace, religion, and Democracy.

Of course they do....thats how it works...more american men and women in uniform , more taxpayer money more aid....then you move in with the MacDonalds and the KFC having made the county safe for American franchise. Hooray for the U.S.

Even though we are in dire financial straights back home this war is profiting some corporation or bank. What will our politicians do. Feed the war machine or bring our troops home.

Deja vu all over again. This ain't gonna work. Expect to see pictures in 7 to 10 years
of the last of our people being extracted from the roof of the embassy in Kabul. The
Afghans aren't going to stand up for us anymore than the unmotivated south Viet
army did.

I'm sorry. We don't want to send anymore. You'll just have to pack up and come home.

Like Blackwater for instance? With more billions for the neo-cons who control these companies?

Regardless of how many you take in the Afghans will win this war in the end. They're home, you're invaders. Get used to it.

You had half a million troops in Vietnam, general.
The Afghans are TOUGHER than the Vietnamese.

He's too young to have been in Vietnam. He may be too young even to remember.

It's time we got out of Afghanistan. Completely.

If and when information on bin Ladin's whereabouts is obtained, send in special ops.

In the mean time work on energy independence and let the Middle East go to hell all own its own.
