Republicans Call For Eliminating Lieutenant Governor Post

A group of Republicans in the Illinois House said Thursday that one of their plans to save the state money is eliminating Gov. Pat Quinn's former job.

Eliminating the office of lieutenant governor would save the state about $2.5 million.

Given what happened with the last governor, and the last few for that matter, getting rid of Lieutenant Governor is an unwise idea.

Bad Idea, in New York our Lt. Gov. ended up playing a huge roll in the states govt and probably played a role in ending our State Senate stalemate.

1 down and 25,000 to go. The machine has loaded the payroll with Daley, Stroger and Madigan cronies. Those employees who are truly performing their duties on behalf of the people of Illinois should be rewarded for their efforts but the pals of pols have to be launched. Gov. Quinn can put the bosses on the spot by making them defend the need for these stumblebums to remain of the state's payroll.
