Vice-President Joe Biden was standing by Jon Corzine's side when the New Jersey governor kicked off his re-election campaign last month, but it was hard to tell from Corzine's remarks that there was a new administration in Washington.

I'm sorry, but one "bashes" a celebrity that one doesn't like. "To bash" is a fairly arbitrary.

When one talks openly about how a leader lied to us in order to get us to invade a soverign nation, that's not "bashing." It's a national duty.

Bush did not "lie to you." Get over it.

It has certainly been an effective tactic. Based on delusion and absolutely despicably vicious and nasty, but effective...

All the Obama administration is doing is MISDIRECTING the public over issues. Bush, who I agree was a terrible President, but we have to move on.
The Administration is trying not to talk about the economy and their misreading of the problems. They are pushing everything through so the public can't get all the facts. Congress doesn't get enough time to read all the bills and programs being presented. How come we don't yell about all the crooks and tax cheaters in the administration?
Let's get on with the business of today. Stimulus Disaster, Energy Tax Bill, Unemployment, Immigration and Health Insurance are the issues that are Obama's.

Bush was neither terrible nor perfect. He was quite correct, and the first president to recognize the problem and act strongly, about Muslim extremism. His decision to go into Iraq, looked back on from about 25 years hence, will probably seem brilliant. One hopes Obama doesn't squander the opportunity to spread democracy in the Middle East--but it looks as though he is going to squander it given his lukewarm reaction to democratic uprisings in Iran and for the rule of law in Honduras.

Bush's policies on the economy did pretty well considering the strains until 2006. Unfortunately Democrats gained total congressional power then and even prior to that had been stonewalling about Freddie-Fannie reform and thus we had the financial collapse in 2008-9. Bush was right when he said he should have stood stronger for free market capitalism.

But then Obama's policies are drastically WORSE in that regard than Bush's were. Compared to Obama, Bush will look good in 25 years.

Face it folks, Bush is a **^&%$$^^up, and we will be cleaning the mess for a long time. I think Obama has done very well so far, and I hope Holder does appoint a prosecutor. Torture is a crime. War of aggression is a crime. Lying to Congress is a crime.
Appointing incompetent cronies (heck of a job, Brownie!), politicizing the DOJ, and suppressing science that Bush didn't like are probably not criminal, but are hopelessly immoral.

By 2075--if the country is still here--people will be amazed that Americans sat still for the election theft in 2000, much less 2004. They'll probably be reading about it at their beachfront property in Nevada.

Maybe we should talk about the illegal votes obtained for Obama in 2008 by ACORN.

Bashing Bush is politically immature, unintellectual and nonconstructive, at the very least.

When a politician says he is not like Dubya he is saying I am not an emotionally stunted bully. Nor am I a liar and a thief. Nor am I an embarrassment to the English language and the white race. This is intended to comfort and reassure the voter.

FYI: It's not called "bashing".

It's called "telling the truth".

Odd. It was called bashing when Clinton was in office. What is different now?
Sooner or later, Obama is going to have to do more than vote "present". He will eventually have to accept responsibility for those actions of his administration. When will that be? After 2012? never?

Because Clinton made a personal mistake in a private matter that was really between him and Hilary.

Clinton made major repairs to the damage Reagan and Bush1 did to the economy. They tripled the national debt, in case you're interested.

What Bush did was incompetent at best, treason at worst. I hope Spain asks for extradition.

Bush was touting his wonderful economy at a press conference the day before he begged for a stimulus package to prevent a deep recession. In one day the country went from prosperity to poverty, even though all the economic indicators were showing disaster around the bend as he was talking. The republicans and their cronies believe the economy can recover in just one day and keep crticizing Obama for it not happening. To all the republicans and the tea partyers past, present and future. It ain't gonna happen. the screw-up of the Bush/Cheney era will never be corrected. Now, who wants lemonade?
