Check out the 9/11 Commission Report. It is a conspiracy theory. And not a very good one because it fails to explain what happened that day.
The republican depression of the 1920's-30's has been transported to the 1990's via the inane policies of Ronald Reagan embellished by Bus/Cheney and the republican congress will live in infamy for generations to come. The bashing is still in its infancy.

Regan was a terrible president. Fired the meat inspectors. Fired the air traffic controllers. Closed the state mental institutions and dumped the crazy people out onto the streets where they are problems still today. Destroyed the Fairness Doctrine.

Bush did not receive a fraction of the condemnation he deserved. Obama is a disappointment in many ways (continued zombie bank bailouts; continued war involvement; ambivalent approach to healthcare), but many leftists have been critical of these realities. We were attacked the last time, on 9/11. There were attacks before that, notably during the Clinton administration. Clinton, etal did not respond. This is a reason we were attacked on 9/11, in my opinion.
