PREACHERS, TEACHERS AND POLITICIANS

Preachers, teachers and politicians
Too many times turn out the same.
Forecasting predictions of what lay ahead
Confused by self-love, ego and shame.

Forewarning of judgment and our own unawareness
Blaming others for corruption and the mayhem of war
They seek our endowment of revenue and support
As volunteers e-mail or beat on our door.

Thank God for each and every individual
That prays for wisdom, repentance and grace.
Not perfect though remorseful, repentant when wrong
As their devotion radiates from their face.

Listen and watch carefully the shepherds of man
Judging them by what they practice not preach.
Do they make you wonder about their purpose?
As they communicate, inspire and teach.

Considering how Bush read my little goat while we were under attack and did nothing, considering that New Orleans was under water and he was clearing his ranch, considering he spied on every American because he could, considering his VP had sweetheart deals with the oil company's behind closed doors.Considering he authorized torture, considering he started a illegal war that killed endless number of Iraqi's and Afghans, considering he declared" mission accomplished" for the Iraq war and last but not least bankrupted our country yeah i think he was the poster child for a President that will go down in history with the worst rating ! The worst of it all is over 4,000 + Americans made that most extreme sacrifice anyone could make for a $400 Glock that Saddam kept by his side so he can display it in his library, yeah he needs to be bashed until he is either in jail or gone from history.

Bush got handed a get-out-of-jail-free card after 9/11.

Fact - every single aspect of our national defense which FAILED COMPLETELY that day was EXCLUSIVELY under the direct authority of the Executive Branch.

Fact.

Good point. And its unfortunate that the 9/11 Truth movement fails to pin the responsibility of criminal incompetence on him and instead distracts us with un-substantiated convoluted conspiracy tales.

Check out the 9/11 Commission Report. It is a conspiracy theory. And not a very good one because it fails to explain what happened that day.

The republican depression of the 1920's-30's has been transported to the 1990's via the inane policies of Ronald Reagan embellished by Bus/Cheney and the republican congress will live in infamy for generations to come. The bashing is still in its infancy.

Make that "Throw a Clinton in for good measure" Not "trow". Danged tiny buttons on this little phone.

Regan was a terrible president. Fired the meat inspectors. Fired the air traffic controllers. Closed the state mental institutions and dumped the crazy people out onto the streets where they are problems still today. Destroyed the Fairness Doctrine.

Cheney & cabal were running the show back then also.

Getting rid of the fairness doctrine was a bad thing? Now I've heard everything. Let's just add another 3 or 4 Fox New's to balance things out.

They were the worse team this country has ever known.

Bush is the worst president in modern memory. Future generations will spit at the mention of his name, and Republicans will pay for his crimes for many decades to come.

This is what the democrats do. You can't accept the fact that you elected a clown so you find a way to blame Bush for every mistake that Obama makes.

Bush did not receive a fraction of the condemnation he deserved. Obama is a disappointment in many ways (continued zombie bank bailouts; continued war involvement; ambivalent approach to healthcare), but many leftists have been critical of these realities. They do not walk in lockstep like the limbaugh dittohead brigade.

We were attacked the last time, on 9/11. There were attacks before that, notably during the Clinton administration. Clinton, etal did not respond. This is a reason we were attacked on 9/11, in my opinion.

Because Bill Clinton didn't bother to go after Al Qaeda so they had a chance to strengthen. Try another one.

Wow...selective amnesia is a wonderful thing. Bush is the crime lord of the century and your saying it's Obama's fault. Typical...same thing you right wing extremists (NOT conservatives) did to Clinton...as soon as Clinton entered office, everything was his fault. As soon as Bush entered office, everything was Clinton's fault. And now that Bush is out of office, everything is Obama's fault. It's called "transference" and it's the only way for criminal enablers like those who voted for Bush (especially the 2nd time) to live with what they did...complain and blame....and whine whine whine and hope the cows never come home. Oh ya, and totally deny responsibility for ANYTHING...kind of like Bush and Cheney never acknowledging of taking responsibility for the monumentally criminal, and incompetent war that they plunged this country into, that was the beginning of the financial collapse that just happens to have come about on their watch...must be a coincidence.

This is all standard Republican politics...complain, blame, whine and deny. Oh, and when you have the power, spend like there's no tomorrow.

Not one has presented an actual idea for how to fix the mess Bush left. Our country was a giant catbox for the Bush Cheny gang.

Let's see: stimulus is a two-year plan to fix a 30-years in the making mess.

Perhaps a little patience would help here. This is not a pizza. You don't get results in 30 minutes or less.

Doesn't look that way. After only six months, Hopey's approval index is exceeded only by the unemployment rate.

You'll be lucky to flog a second term out of this dead horse, which is almost as likely as holding onto to your majority past 2010.

Obama is still cleaning up Bush's mess and undoing all his heinous damage to the United States.

The Republicans can only damage, obstruct, say no, reject or embarrass. They don't have one iota of an idea of how to rebuild the United States. This last week revealed how irrelevant and nonsensical GOP truly are with Coleman, Palin, Ensign and Sanford, to name a few. What a shambles of a party.

Oh, and let's not forget all of the GOPers trying to refuse stimulous money and complain that if it wasn't given to business, then they don't need it. Forget about roads, education, etc.

Six months of working to fix the biggest mess this country has ever been in, and that includes the Great Depression.

Courtesy of your heroes.

It will take decades - not months - to put the economy right again.
