Bush will be the face of the GOP party for 20+ years, next election the dems will have lots of material to remind people of what the last GOP admn. was like!

Of course the dems will remind people of the last admin. they'll have to deflect attention from there own failures.

Well, they certainly won't have a lot to cheer about regarding the present administration, if the past 6 mos are any indication. One failed policy, one broken campaign promise after another. That and Biden's mis-cues, and the GOP will have plenty of their own material.

That's all right. It is still taking many of all these years to get over Jimmy Carter, and what that is over 30 some years.

So take your time. I am sure that we will still be talking about Carter's dismal performance for another 20 years.

I'll see your Clinton and I'll raise you with Sanford. I'll see your Carter and raise you with Dubya.

But remember, we've got nobody like Cheney. (Thank god.)

It should be potent until his mess is cleaned up, which will be quite a while.
There is a reason why Cheney has been trying to rewrite history, as we are now finding out.

Yet the results of his deeds and "deciderings" live on and on. And I'm tired of the whitewashing attempts by various members of his administration.

Because the Dems believing in governing, not playing politics, when they are put in charge, they tend to shy away playing the game.
The GOP is wise to this and is reframing the debate on economy to get voters to believe it is Obama's economy now. And the centerpiece of his economic legislation, the stimulus, has failed.
The unfocused anger and frustration of the voter makes this easy to do; they won't blame Bush because Obama is in charge and they have no patience for excuses.
The Dems need to keep Bush front and center and his name/record needs to be in every talking point.
If Dems are not careful and economy continues to tank, now get this, GOP can and will make the case that after 4 years of Obama you were actually better under Bush!
That's when people will start talking about a President Palin.

When Obama was elected it became his economy to fix, if it doesn't get better, who going to get the blame.

Patience. It is his JOB to fix it, but he didn't put us in this hole to begin with. People have incredibly short memories.

They purposely scre wed it all up so that he would have to clean up their mess. These bailouts have become payoffs to all those industrialists who just pocketed the money and did nothing to help fix the economy.

Barack has been (and continues to be) played by the Powers That Be.

It was a sad day in American history when in 2000, the US Supreme Court appointed GW Bush President of the United States. It was an even sadder day in 2004, when Bush actually won the election (unless you think that he stole Ohio). In 2000, his incompetence was suspected, but had not yet been proven. In 2004, his stupidity and buffoonery had already become legendary, yet he still managed to win the election. A sad day, indeed.

Never criticize the offspring of the elite. The passing of judgment remains for the elite to be made upon all us little people.
