Please understand that having any level of security clearance still only allows you to be privy to information that someone has already decided is necessary for you to know to make your decisions, such as a governor making security arrangements during a terrorist threat. It does not give anyone the right to ask for information which is not directly relevent to them, nor information that is of a higher security level.

That said, if any one of us was working for a defence contractor and had a clearance, any time we went on a trip to a foreign country, especially one with which we have questionable relations, that trip would have to be investigated and our clearance would be at risk just for taking that trip. This is true even if you just want to go to the Holy Lands.

Well, let's face it. He is obnoxiously self-centered and self-absorbed. Even his emails to her were almost entirely about himself...even when he was saying something about her, it was always in the context of what HE felt or how it impacted him.

And all that name-dropping and bragging. What woman would want to read or listen to that krap?

So there has to be a reason she was involved with him. Maybe for a media story or access? Maybe for blackmail? I don't see why she couldn't be doing it to get information--which you know Sanford spewed like Mt. Vesuvius--for the government.
