What a great speech, Pres Obama out does himself again. The scene in the Ghana Parliament with him giving a speech is one of the most remarkable historic images in our times.People all over Africa are beaming with pride. Yes we can.
That was one of the best speeches President Obama gave. This was a speech by a president who actually understands Africa. And his breadth of knowledge was outstanding. Moreover, he told it to them real, the great things about Africa, but the things that must change, from illegal elections, fraud, rape of women, taking more control of their economic future, being more responsible to curb the spread of disease, etc.
It will go down in history, and certainly be studied in history, African history & African-American history & literature courses to come.
Sad that the audio and visual is so poor.
I am proud of our President. I have enough sense to know that it's takes more than a few months for the Stimulus to work. And it will work.
Not because I have faith in President Obama, but I have faith in this government.
The folks that are talking stuff about millions of jobs not created yet, are just grasping at straws.
Dumbasses don't know that most of the cable news is produced in a way to cause confusion and chaos to create ratings. And they fall for it.
If instead of listening to oneliners and then taking to threads to comment on them, why don't you nay sayers try researching on the Stimulus. You will learn that only 10 to 25% has been distributed and some of that distribution is not being put to work by Your Own Republican Govenors, because they don't won't President Obama to succeed.
So while you're on Huff Post and other sites complaining, your Govenor is sitting on the very funds that could get you that job or unemployment assistance.
Why don't you start calling the Gov's mansion and asking questions.
Annette, your moniker is well chosen.
I'm glad he brought up Bush's efforts on AIDS prevention, it is one of the few things that Bush deserves praise for.
I have eyes, rubygreen, eyes... I see things, many things. You'd be amazed at what I see. Okay, now that I got that out of my system, there were several men in that audience who, when others were clapping and smiling, kepts stone faced and still... I'm telling you, some of those guys did not look happy with what Obama was saying.
