We've already been whacking these guys for years. http://www.usatoday.com/news/world/2002-11-04-yemen-explosion_x.htm

This program involves something else like domestic intelligence.

WAKE UP

Authority to kill terrorists was already granted.

It is more likely this involves domestic intelligence gathering after 9/11.

What's the difference in that CIA initiative and the current policy of attacking targets in Pakistan?

1/12th of the money spent on the redo of recovery.org for the CIA initiative intended to kill if necessary, any high level terrorists. A bit like what's occurring under Obama's direction in attacking civilian targets in Pakistan.

Afraid of the facts I presume.

The initiative to capture or kill high level terrorists never developed beyond internal CIA discussions. 1/12th of the amount of money now earmarked for the redo of the recovery.org website was spend on the CIA consideration. Also, how is this worst than the current president authorizing drone attacks in Pakistan resulting in the deaths of hundreds of innocent women and children? This is obviously a smoke screen to obscure the fact that Polosi lied about her briefing on waterboarding and other convert operations. The Democrats may rue the day when officials including Polosi are questioned under oath. That I would like to see take place.

Really? They opened up this entire can of worms as a smokescreen to cover what Nancy Pelosi said about the CIA and their truthiness? That's just paranoid and you have conspiracy theorist tendencies.

The only thing Democrats rue is not fighting hard enough when Bush/Rove stole the first election in 2000.

Did anyone see 60 Minutes last night. We had our chance to get OBL, he was practically in our sight. Apparently ending the war quickly was not in the Haliburton/Blackwater plan.

What was John told that the rest of Congress was not?

What we need to do now is clear the senate of all those who would protect and lie for the Bush Administration. Lets make sure that history does not repeat itself! Starting with Palin. She should never be allowed to run for the Presidency. Thank about how she would be used to get the peoples constitutional rights away from them. Dumb as road kill. And what about those Senators now who would have you believe that all this was done legally. People have the right to recall. Lets start doing just that. When good people stand around doing nothing, evil is what happens. We can joke around all we want about the Republicans, but who put them in office. When you don't inspect what you aspect, you get what you least expect.

Follow up to my prior post....VP must follow the rules of law. He cannot in any way, deviate, alter, or attempt to ignore them. He acts in accordance to the Geneva Convention, may not devise illegal wars for personal gains. Treason. He does not have the right to decide who is tortured or how. He is to be the goodwill ambassador, maintaining peace, not acting as the President. Cheney was running the country illegally, and allowing Bush to take the fall for his dirty work. Treason. This isn't about relgion or tin foil hats, this is about a man who went out of his way to break the law, violate our civil rights, kill ou sons and daughters, cover up thier deaths, murders, use illegal assasnination squads( Black Water), to carry out his illegal orders. he is guilty on all fronts and must be tried. But moreover, he must recieve high treason. Too many people know what he did, and he can no longer pleade innocent or ask for immunity. He is a civilian and is no longer privvy to special treatment.

McCain: Hiding questionable programs from Congress is consistent with being open and up-front. Doing laundry is consistent with getting a haircut.
