Track Palin

In an interview with the Washington Times, resigning Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) made a surprising admission: Her own son doesn't belong to the party she represented on the national state last fall. Asked what she would do once she stepped down from her post, Palin told the paper she would campaign for candidates she favored, whatever their party:

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla -- population 7,000 -- where she began her political career.

"People are so tired of the partisan stuff -- even my own son is not a Republican," said Mrs. Palin, who stunned the political world earlier this month with her decision to step down as governor July 26 with 18 months left in her term.

Palin may be expanding her horizons out of necessity. Vulnerable Republicans facing reelection in 2010 have said they don't want her help.

He's probably a member of the Alaskan Independence Party like Todd Palin.

Notice she didn't say exactly to what political party her son claims allegiance. Given Palin's propensity for half-truths, my guess is that he's not currently a member of any political party but still shares the political views of the Republicans.

What does it matter whether he is an Independant...he can still vote Republican!

She won't change my opinion of her because her son "isn't a Republican". People are individuals. I think its just a way of defense. Now progressives can't use that against her because she told us. As if it doesn't really matter to her that he isn't like her.

She will support candidates "who believe the right things"? Who died and made her the High Holiness of Deciding what is a "right belief" and a "wrong" one? And then she says people are sick of partisan politics?? The tripe that comes out of that woman's mouth is staggering.

Who made Obama the High Holiness???... He may be the PResident but that does not make his beliefs RIGHT either.

First there was Her "Son" Trig that she used to get the "She is just like Us" vote.

Then She Paraded Her unwed underaged pregnant teen Daughter around on the National stage with Her Iive in boyfriend.

Then there was the Phony "Nuptials" between the two of Them.

And Now She is using the oldest Son political beliefs to show Us that She is just like us.

Once again when all else fails, Use your Children, Right Sarah?

Sarah Palin just cannot help herself. She has been making other comments lately that make it clear that she is going to try to paint herself as more inclusive than the Republican party currently is. Palin is extremely right-wing and she thinks letting it be known that her son is not a Republican, will somehow make people see her in a better light. I am suspect of her divulging her son's voting preference, it seems she may be daring people to make comments about him, so she can go off on another tangent.

Pimping, yes - she's putting her son in the limelight (without anybody asking), calling attention to him, surely for some purpose of her own.
