Palin: My Own Son Isn't A Republican

In an interview with the Washington Times, resigning Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) made a surprising admission: Her own son doesn't belong to the party she represented on the national state last fall. Asked what she would do once she stepped down from her post, Palin told the paper she would campaign for candidates she favored, whatever their party:

"I will go around the country on behalf of candidates who believe in the right things, regardless of their party label or affiliation," she said over lunch in her downtown office, 40 miles from her now-famous hometown of Wasilla -- population 7,000 -- where she began her political career.

"People are so tired of the partisan stuff -- even my own son is not a Republican," said Mrs. Palin, who stunned the political world earlier this month with her decision to step down as governor July 26 with 18 months left in her term.

Palin may be expanding her horizons out of necessity. Vulnerable Republicans facing reelection in 2010 have said they don't want her help.

You are soooo right. Republicans do have the 'military's" best interest at heart. They love the opportunity to spend hundreds of millions on a military establishment that doesn't provide for it's troops properly, or plan an occupation or reconstruction of a "developing democracy in the Middle East".
It's we Democrats that really care and support the troops. Raising money to make sure my brother had the necessary equipment before doing his two tours. Tour number 3 is coming up.

My bet would be it's the party whose l'il cowboy president didn't lie to get us into a quamire in Iraq, which has resulted in over 4000 American soliders d.ead (and many, many more wounded), 100,000+ Iraqi citizens d.ead, and our country's economy nearly bankrupt.

Not all soldiers believe that doing what you are told to do includes how you think.
