Carla Bruni In Italy: Rome-Coming! (PHOTOS)

Ok, so she may not be from Rome, but Carla Bruni-Sarkozy had a homecoming of sorts when she accompanied her husband, President Nicolas Sarkozy, to L'Aquila, Italy for the G-8 Summit last week.

While in Rome, France's Italian-born first lady wore a pale pink ensemble to the president's press conference on Thursday. That day the first couple also visited her hometown of Turin, and paid their respects at her family's tomb at the Monumental Cemetery of Turin. On Friday, Bruni-Sarkozy toured earthquake damage in L'Aquila (Michelle Obama was there on Thursday).

I particularly appreciate Carla's simplicity and down to earth approach to her look. It is pure, simple and refined. I remember when she can to see me when she just started modelling and she was always very humble and unassuming.

To the strange people on this thread who've had a LOT to say about Bruni's personal life, I've checked the Wikipedia 'relationships' section you're so keen on. So, a 41-year-old woman has had 8 relationships of varying durations and commitment. What on earth is so unusual about that? It seems entirely statistically normal to me. Multiple posts using quite violent and hate-filled rhetoric about a woman you've never met on the other hand...not so normal.

Wikipedia is just a compilation of individual information supplied by viewers. And definitely not 100 percent authoritative - the fact that they mention only 8 relationships is evidence enough of that. No one has to rely on Wiki for the facts about Bruni's life -- those are out there in much more in-depth detail than you'd have to time to rush around trying to whitewash. Hate-filled rhetoric about people you've never met? Nope. Opinions on public figures. You, on the other hand, by speculating about private individuals should probably look in a mirror to observe a possible case of "hate-filled".

there is nothing remarkable or beautiful about this woman. She just looks average like most of the white females in Europe. European women are not beautiful, they look kind of man-ish to me. I think American women are more beautiful. Before you slam me, I want to say that I served 2 tours in Germany and had the opportunity to do lots of traveling since I was single at the time, and I'm telling you, the Swedes are downright homely.

It seems that in her subtle way, Carla Bruni is always trying to one up Michelle O. I mean, Ive seen many outfits on MO that were repeated shortly after on Bruni in a classier, more European style, and on that flawless body, seemed to be saying "This is the look you would LIKE to achieve, isn't is Michelle??" Take for example the pale pink SLEEVELESS dress with the SWEATER !!! Im surprised she didnt have a belt and flower pin to go with it. Carla is making me a little fonder of Michelle's ghetto fabulous look every day.
