Chris Matthews On Liz Cheney Running For Office: "Sounds To Me Like She's Caught The Political Bug" (VIDEO)

Dick Cheney's daughter Liz has been one of his most vocal defenders since he left office, appearing all over the networks to push back against criticisms of his role in everything from domestic policy to foreign affairs.

She recently gave an interview to the Washington Times and was asked if she had any future plans to run for public office herself. Cheney replied:

It's not something that I'm going to do right away, but I am absolutely in awe of and inspired by people who do run for office... It's something I may well do down the road here. I hope to have that opportunity at some point and have that make sense for my family and everything else that's going on.

Chris Matthews thinks "it sounds to me like she's caught the political bug. Actually, I'm impressed she has the guts to make a political run. If she does I'll make a real effort to cover the race."
