Goldman Execs Sold $700M Of Stock, Most Of It During Their Bailout

Financial Times:

Executives at Goldman Sachs sold almost $700m worth of stock following the collapse of Lehman Brothers last September, according to filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Most of the sales occurred during the period in which the investment bank enjoyed the support of $10bn from the troubled asset relief programme.

Link above, note that his number was plus 25 which is fantastic, Rasmussen did not recently make this up and has been using it for quite some time. It cuts both ways. Negative eight points is poor and trend is weak for Obama

"Approval index" IS new (for this year), it IS ONLY USED by Rasmussen and it is skewered toward registered Republicans. Form the article: "Currently, the baseline targets for the adult population are 39.0% Democrats, 32.5% Republicans, and 28.5% unaffiliat­ed.' The first problem, of course, is that Rasmussenuses an unusually large number of registered Republicans (at 32.5%). The second problem is that these are only "baseline" targets, not actual breakdowns used in the poll. The third problem, is that these numbers are based on a rolling daily average, whereby Obama went from +1 to -8 in 10 polling days, but went from 0 to +9 in only 4 days last month (these things tend to fluctuate wildly based on the latest headlines). Lastly, Rasmussen had McCain at only -4 against Obama in late October!

Link please. It is very cool that you typed or pasted this in, but link please. Rasmussen was actually the most accurate, so you can understand it, first place forecaster in the last election. See link below. You can try and wish that Obama is doing well, but he is not delivering anything and in fact is making things worse.....­.just to repeat Rasmussen was number one forecaster in 2008 election.

As far as the Fordham PDF, this is a one pager with no actual breakdown of the numbers or explanation of the methodology used (in fact, they say they went by someone's else methodology, which you are supposed to look up based on a couple of pages out of a book they cite). On top of that, you took this link directly from Rasmussen itself. Tell me, had you ever heard of Fordham University before?

Before the collapse GS stock was almost 170.
They sold their stock at the LOW POINT when it was 47-65
NOW GS stock is almost 150.

So this was probably the worst financial move they could have made.

If you look at a chart of the price of Goldman stock over the 12 months ending today, the point where it dips the lowest is the point at which these guys were selling.
