Still, there seem to be as many impressive young women on the air as men ... which warms the heart! I'm a big fan of Mika Brzezinski on "Morning Joe." She's become one of the "guys" on hard news subjects.

Lesley, is Mika related to you by marriage or something? I no longer watch the show, it is a train wreck, since the campaign ended. Mika always looks like she is ready to jump out of her skin, when she isn't doing that"pretending to look interested" pose.. She is not a journalist, she is, I guess, sort of an "announcer" who kind of moves the show from segment to segment..even that is often choppy. In these difficult times to watch that group of boors and know they are making millions of dollars just for sitting there is too painful for me.
People, quit hating. Just because someone disagrees on some things doesn't mean they aren't smart. Others can come up with different answers to problems that are just as logical as those that oppose them. Is she a genius? No, but are Contessa or Tamron any smarter? No (Contessa in particular.) The show works BECAUSE of their personalities and moderate views. Joe isn't the typical conservative, she isn't the typical liberal. Now those who watch Hannity or Olbermann most likely won't like "Morning Joe" because those people are simply watching to have their respective beliefs they have reinforced. That's just not what this show is. It does a better job of thinking outside the box than any cable news show and that's personally what I like about it.
I made this comment to MSNBC this morning among other things.
"Mika seems to be auditioning for FOX news these days" I can't find a balanced news program in the morning anymore
Add to that the fact that Liz Cheney seems to have a regular chair at the table these days...
I have not watched the show since the day after last years election. I watch CNN - I hear CSPAN is worth watching.

I have tried to watch that show several times. I gave it a fair chance. Thought the first time, maybe they are having an off day. I tried several more times and gave up. This lady has nothing to add to any conversation, as seems extremely uninformed and not very intelligent. The entire show is just exhausting waiting for someone to say something of intelligence. I am not a Palin supporter or hater, but Mica and Sarah seem to be on the same page.
Ugh, I just lost all respect for Lesley Stahl.
