Rob Gaudet, Key Climate Bill Opponent, Apparently Way Into Sasquatch

First Posted: 08/13/09 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 02:35 PM ET

Bigfoot Omgz

Climate change deniers tend to widely embrace all manners of pseudo-science. But the League Of Conservation Voters is wondering if the man behind the "let's vote the eight Republicans who voted for the American Climate, Energy and Security Act in the House out of office" website capandtr8tors.com (BE CAREFUL: like the LCV, I get a huge honking warning message cautioning that the site might harm my computer) is the same man who is apparently really way into Bigfoot.

Using the website domaintools.com, one can see the individual who registered the website capandtr8tors.com is a man by the name of Rob Gaudet of Bossier City, Louisiana.

A Google search of his registered email address shows that a Robert Gaudet from the same town, listing the same email address, is a local "Tea-Party Patriots" organizer.

Not incredibly shocking.

But this is where it gets more interesting. According to his registered address, he lists his business as "Discover Bigfoot." It seems that Mr. Gaudet is also an active member of a community of people searching for the whereabouts of Bigfoot (aka, the Sasquatch). Yes folks. THAT Bigfoot.

Things get more delightful from there:

A Google search of Mr. Gaudet's email address and the term "Bigfoot" finds that name and email address referenced on multiple Bigfoot/unexplained mystery dedicated forums. A search of "Rob Gaudet Bigfoot" finds the name referenced on numerous other forums as an individual who provides video and photographic evidence of Bigfoot's whereabouts. A Rob Gaudet was also interviewed on the Bigfoot Field Guide Radio Show and the Bigfoot Live Radio Show. The search also turns up a photo album of Bigfoot press clippings based on a site called "LouisianaCajun.com," with a registered email address for 'robertkgaudet' listed as a username.

LCV makes no claim that all these Robert Gaudets are one and the same, only that the awesome possibility exists. But we echo their concerns: "If it is the same person, doesn't he realize climate change will have disastrous effects on Bigfoot's habitat?!"

I drive a Pruis. I strongly support effective Climate Change legislation. And I'm way into Bigfoot. What's your point again?

Analogous to way into Halloween, but not necessarily believing in ghosts, witches and goblins?

Exxon Mobile Funded latest climate bill(interesting)

Industries and individual companies with a stake in the landmark House climate and energy bill poured money into lobbying early this year

Exxon Mobil Corp. spent the most within that group, paying $9.3 million on lobbying the first quarter of this year.
Last year the company spent $29 million, its highest level ever.

Carbon and CO2 (carbon dioxide) are fundamental for all life on Earth. CO2 is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic gas.

I bet he listens to those right wing funded conspiracy theorists, like coast to coast am. They so readily believe in aliens and yet they still trust big oil.

Is it a surprise that smeone who denies climate change is out looking for Big Foot? I am sure when he is not out looking for the deceptive Big Foot he is probably trying to locate the Garden of Eden.

I love the use of the term "climate change" instead of the old favorite "Global Warming". I guess even Liberals realize that you can't use the term Global Warming when the Globe isn't actually "warming" anymore.

"I know...we'll just call it climate change...that way no matter what happens we can say...see we told you so!"

A winter with record snowfall? = Climate change!
A winter with no snow? = Climate change!!

Brilliant!!

The proper term has been "global climate change" in the scientific community for quite some time because it is the most accurate way to describe the effects we are having on the planet due to the increased emissions of greenhouse gases like CO2, whether you like it or not.

Is there any doubt that the world's climate is changing and not for the better? Of course, since people like you believe in quack science and myth, how would you know, much less care?

The term Global Warming is accurate but misleading. It is true that some places may see record snowfall, and other areas may get far less snow than the norm. A net change of a a couple degrees in the average temperature around the world causes the temperature to rise at the poles which causes more ice to melt which changes the temperatue and movement of the ocean currents, these currents effect air currents such as the jet stream, which in turn effect the prevailing weather patterns which in turn brings snow to areas that normally don't get it or causes areas that normally get a lot of snow to get none. Ridculing something you don't understand is very common behavior for unintelligent and uneducated people. You can argue over semantics but make no mistake, an overwhelming majority of the scientific community agrees that the earth's climate is changing for the worst and the cause is our burning of fossil fuels.

I'm sorry, but there are many credible scientists who believe that there is very strong evidence for a remnant population of an unclassified primate in the temperate rain forest of the Northwest.i am not an opponent of the climate bill, nor do I think global climate change is hoax.I wholeheartedly believe that climate change is a threat to teh very existence of life on Earth.Does my belief in one invalidate my belief of the other?
06:40 AM on 07/14/2009
Cryptozoology is one thing but there is way more evidence for climate change than big foot, so hes just blind or paid off.

Sasquatches are in the PNW, not Louisiana. They have too much sense to live there. ;-)

Interesting, yes, but no surprises here. The term "wingnuts" is appropriately applied to the 35% of remaining -- meaning those who still admit being -- Republicans often referred to as "the base." Wackos, ALL!!

Global warming is fake science.

Everybody knows this.

What we really need is a special prosecutor to investigate why the government is suppressing the evidence that proves the Lock Ness Monster exists.

(Area 51 too!!!!)

There is an Area 51 (Groom Lake Test Facility). How is that paranormal?

so if in the fossil record, gigantopithicus blacki exists in asia, and in america there have been thousands of sightings of a similar creature, would it be safe to assume that by scientific standards there is no possible avenue for this creature to exist in modernity. only if your and idiot. there are cave drawings of indians, thats native americans, riding dinosaurs, a picture of a pteradactyl in 1800s arizona, and explain how a dinosaur could be standing upright through several sedimentary levels, if it took eons to deposit those layers? thats because science has used a formula called circular time dating. they date the fossils based upon the rock layers and base the rock layers based upon the fossils.
this is akin to writing bad code into a program. looks fine from the surface but in the end your system will fail. dont be a tool for the mediocre.

there is a god and a devil and he will mislead you to your utter destruction. the earth is not 6000 years old and god did not create the sun on the first day of genesis. the bible is true, if you read it. i challenge anyone out there. if your opinions are true then you have nothing to fear, but any intelligent person will weigh the options before mocking their rival.

Fox "News" gets vilified because it's one of the key opponents to the prosperous future of our country.

Thus, your analogy makes no sense.

This is an affront to Bigfoot and his species deserves an apology from Mr. Gaudet.

Wait - this story is all just pure joke speculation and innuendo. What are you, a Republican?
