Tony Romo broke up with Jessica Simpson on Thursday, the night before her 29th birthday, a source close to the pop star tells PEOPLE.
"She is heartbroken," says the source. "She loves Tony. But it's been difficult lately. He's busy with his career and she's getting ready to shoot her show (The Price of Beauty). They decided to part ways."

According to a NY radio station, John Mayer had something to do with the breakup.
That girl needs to figure out why she keeps making such poor choices in men. Perhaps a mortorium on dating for a few months, combined with some introspection on what the signs were that she missed, would prepare her for a better relationship.

Jessica has problems. She was at a wedding of a friend years ago and was just hateful. Then the split with Nick and now this on her birthday eve................too bad she cannot get her dad out of her life. She might have some chance.

When Jessica met Tony he was dating Carrie Underwood, Jessica came in and courted the man (instead of concentrating on her career) and then tried to talk trash about Carrie - not realizing that any man that will leave a woman for you will definitely leave you for another woman.
Jessica ensured that she was seen and heard at every Cowboy game (often scrutinized by the fans as being a distraction) and she and her father was consistently putting a lot of marriage pressure on Tony - especially after her sister Ashlei married.
When a man dumps you the day before your BIG BIRTHDAY BASH - he is telling you it IS OVER for GOOD! He meant to PUBLICALLY EMBARASS HER!
