Sessions

The Wall Street Journal:

Ouch!

Sen. Jeff Sessions (R., Ala.), seeking to discredit Judge Sonia Sotomayor's judicial philosophy, cited her 2001 "wise Latina" speech, and contrasted the view that ethnicity and sex influence judging with that of Judge Miriam Cedarbaum, who "believes that judges must transcend their personal sympathies and prejudices."

Reading articles about Senator Sessions and how he was denied a judiciary position almost makes you want to give him the benefit of the doubt that he could have been wronged. But then, he leads this racially charged quixotic quest against Sotomayor and we see what type of man he is.
If he truly felt he was railroaded as a racist twenty-odd years ago, the last thing he should be doing now is leading this futile attempt to smear Sotomayor.
Senator Sessions, you have exposed yourself for what you are. And thank you, Senator Coburn, for that wonderful imitation of Ricki Ricardo. I'm sure if Sotomayor were Asian, you'd do a Charlie Chan imitation, or if she were black, Stepin Fetchit. Must be tough being racist in these politically correct times, huh?

What we got here is a failure to communicate. He does kind of remind me of the prison warden in Cool Hand Luke.

Doesn't Jeff Sessions look like that little man who was Karen's nemisis on Will and Grace? I think his name was Beverly...He even talks like him!

STOP insulting Yoda! The little green guy was smart, multi-talented, compassionate, introspective, fair, honest, and had a sense of humor. Does anyone see any of those characteristics in sessions?

How sad it is that the entire Repug party has absolutely nobody that does their homework. They also seem to not have anyone even close to the level of President Obama or Judge Sotomayor in education, background or intelligence. I am proud that both have achieved the American dream through hard work, perseverence and grace to become true leaders in our country.
