Friel is married and has one young daughter.

*yawn* - Islamic culture = women have to wear veils. Western culture = women have to show their titties.
It's not a question of HAVING to do anything in these photos. In some muslims countries (not all of them) a woman MUST wear a veil in public or risk being killed. Anna Friel was hardly under a death threat if she didn't reveal her breasts.
When will America learn that there are a lot more horrible things in the world than breasts? Why do so many women so hate other women's bodies?

Well that was unexciting. What is it that makes women think there is something unique about their breasts? Is this a competition where women climb on stage, baring (and I suppose, bearing) their breasts for which they're awarded points on a scale of 1 to 10?
Where are the nude basket shots of men? And why not crotch-exposing jeans and suit pants for men? Then the two mindsets could get together and impress each other with their rather boring attributes.

Never heard of this actress..but why MUST every actress pose nude in oder to be credible. We never see an actor doing photoshoots exposing their pen*s in order to boost their careers.

nudity is not inherently offensive. leering and body snarking is incredibly offensive, though. whether you're saying she's attractive or 'too skinny' it's still objectifying, no? still, i suppose anna friel should take responsibility, as she chose to pose, but it's a sad commentary when actresses feel they don't have much of a *choice* but to disrobe (either 'cheap' or 'tasteful') to further their career. it's just something that's expected of women and not men and that really sucks.
I remember a certain scene from "Thelma and Louise" that launched Brad Pitt's career. Mostly nude, not fully, but disrobed for sex appeal. It worked for him.
And let's not forget harvey keitel. Not nude in T&L, but he's pranced around butt-naked on screen.

It will be a sad day if such a mean and cramped view ever takes hold. The bodies of beautiful women are well worth celebrating. The great majority of men, and a pretty fair amount of women, appreciate this.
It's photoshop, plastic surgery, personal trainers, botox and silicone now. It's all a matter of money and class and I'm tired of perfect women and men. The days of Marilyn Monroe are over.
