Basketball Player Richard Jefferson Dumps Fiancee Hours Before Wedding

Former New Jersey Net star Richard Jefferson bailed on his stunning fiancée -- pulling the plug on his posh Manhattan wedding at the 11th hour without even alerting some of the guests, The Post has learned.

The cold-footed forward's decision to ditch onetime Net dancer Kesha Ni'Cole Nichols was so last-minute that some of his oblivious friends had already shown up last Saturday at the swank Mandarin Oriental in Columbus Circle for the $2 million wedding that never happened.

It is so very inconsiderate. That's what happens to many young athletes who suddenly become millionaires. They become holier than thou and show a complete lack of respect for others.

I'm guessing people like you can't do math.

Much of that goes to agents, taxes and whatnot. Then they're supporting their family members. I know another NBA player, not naming names, but he's on the road to Brokeville too.

Many of them have multimillion dollar mansions in every city. They buy houses for their siblings, mother, baby mamas and friends. They spend money like crazy everywhere. They don't grasp the concept that they have to live the rest of their lives restricted to what money they make during their careers.

It's surprising how much things cost when you add them up in the end. He's going to go broke. FAST. $2 million for a wedding? What does he spend every week?

Actually, she wouldn't get "half of the money he has earned". Depending on the state, she may get half the money he earns AFTER the marriage, but everything he has BEFORE the marriage STAYS his - it's called separate property
