I Like ItI Don’t Like It

Nutlog Fox News Channel comedian Glenn Beck was apparently doing his radio show today, when he finally got so sick of what some caller was telling him about health care in the Netherlands that he went to his "death metal" place, angrily spitting envenomed barbs of invective back at the lady on the other line. It was crazy and growly and scary! But that was nothing! Mere seconds later, when the woman said something to the effect that Beck didn't care about people without health care, and yet he was cool with big bank bailouts, Beck somehow found a much higher level of TOTAL CRAZYSAUCE than ever before! Suddenly, Beck was emitting horrifying high-pitched shrieks, wailing, "GET OFF MY PHONE! GET OFF MY PHONE!" and a bunch of other terrifying stuff that only dogs can hear. Jeezy creezy the guy is just all messed up inside!

[LISTEN]

Of course, it's probably true that the woman had never tuned in to Beck's radio show before because, if she had, she would know that Beck really isn't a fan of the bank bailouts. She'd also know that his opinion on health care reform is basically limited to whining about that one time he went in for ass-surgery and barely survived to make a terrifying YouTube video in the style of the Blair Witch Project about how he had scary drugged-up visions that left him angry that the people who treated him at the hospital did not give him the rich-person compassion that he felt he deserved.

Anyway, Glenn Beck screaming like a cartoon mouse being stabbed in the scrotum with knitting needles is your new, terrifying ringtone. Warning: Once you listen to this clip, you can never un-listen to it.

Sounds like he could use some doggy-downers. Of maybe he should call Limbaugh to score some oxcycotin to calm him down. Hey, it's all show biz right? Keeping the bigots and the dumbed-down entertained and feeling self-righteous.

Haha, this is cracking me up. I am laughing seriously. This Glenn Beck is a comedian! No, I'm serious, he actually did a comedy tour this year. If it was Sam Kinison screeching like that, you guys would be laughing too! Hehe. You just need to adjust your context. And actually, he did respond to her logically, at least at first! You 'single payer' people crack me up too. You think that everyone on the other side of the aisle has a lower IQ than you do, but really we just see things from a different perspective. Funny to me that so-called 'liberals' who pride themselves on being 'tolerant' and 'open-minded' and 'multi-cultural' cannot understand the notion of 'different perspectives' within their OWN culture!

Anyone who still uses the term "multi-cultural" usually is intolerant and stuck in 1986.

Actually, I came of age in the 90s, not the 80s. Seems like you have some kind of stereotype going on in your mind with regards to my use of language? Is that tolerant?

anyone who uses that many "quotes" isn't cracking up that much. Beck maybe a comedian, but he's also a judgemental, Bible thumping moralist who supports a party with no ideas on how to solve any problems, just the same old talking points and rhetoric that have gotten us into the meltdown we all find ourselves in now. ha ha, pretty funny.

Yeah, yeah, we've heard this before. Any time someone disagrees with a "conservative" then the response is always "You're just not tolerant and open-minded!" It's getting old. Come up with some cogent argument or drop out.

There are MANY cogent arguments against single payer and even a public option. You can check the Wall Street Journal's editorial page for some of them. Perhaps there is no way for anyone on my side of the aisle to convince you -- which in effect rules out my being able to make a cogent argument -- I cannot persuade someone who has already made up their mind.

Gee, maybe we shouldn't be so hard on this Beck guy? afterall he's just a capolitist sellin' what sells.

At one time, the Bayer Company sold Heroin.

They were just capitalists selling what sells. My point is that money really isn't everything.

Ah, but it was marketed as a non-addictive alternative to morphine...

Funny, but that's been the pitch with every new opiate that's been developed, and they all turn out to be addictive after a few years on the market, i.e. after they have had time to develop a significant "fan base" of addicted customers.

I just want the same healthcare that is provided to our members of congress. If it's good enough for them then it's good enough for me.
I must also say that I appreciate Beck's use of Socratic Rhetoric in positing his position. After all wasn't it Socrates whom said E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-H, E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-
E-E-E-E-E-E-E-H in response to one of his follower's queries regarding the soul and Glen Beck's lack of any?

Rent the movie Network. It's eerie. It's from the 70's, but the screenwriter accurately predicted the future of the media. Glenn Beck is Howard Beale.

Why don't we use the Glen Beck show as an interrogation tool in place of water boarding. Pipe these rants into their cells. Shouldn't take long.

If the Geneva convention will allow it.

Beck is the biggest fruit cake on TV. Guess that says a lot about the mentality of his viewers.

his man NEEDS serious therapy and I mean regressive therapy to see how badly abused he was as a child. He should not be allowed to spew his hate mongering gratuitously. Very scary stuff IMO!

Actually, he suffered quite a lot as a young person -- his mother committed suicide when he was 13 years old.

No wonder he's F'd up.

Then again, I know someone who lost a parent the same way around the same age, and they're nowhere near as F'd up as this guy.
Beck is in a different league. It's not even the same sport.
Whatever sport he's playing, he's definitely not playing it with a full deck.

We all suffer. Some of us become adults from it and others never form correctly.

Beck is in the latter category.

Glenn Beck has always been a nut this is nothing new. The answer to our health care problems is in actually letting the free market work. Right now we have crony capitolism and corporatism. It's a viscious circle and we are stuck in the middle. The politicians get bought off to give the corporations whatever they want. Not just in health care but warfare as well. As long as we remain on the road to fascism it's only going to get worse.

“Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power” Benito Mussolini.

So by all means give these bought and paid for government shills some more tax payer dollars, cross your fingers and hope for the best.

Yes, Obama and Bush are playing for the same team. They play the role of good cop and bad cop and the Sheeple want so desperately to believe that they buy into the lies. Face the facts people nothing changes whoever you put in office, because they are all owned by the same people. They just change the face once in a while to keep the sheeple from waking up to the facts.

Peace!

When I hear "men" allowing themselves to become such savages and throwing hissy fits like this it makes me want to take them out back and as my mother and father used to say" give him something to cry about". Glenn I don't find you comical or relevant, so either get a better sense of humor or find another job!
