Politico:

Gov. Sarah Palin said last weekend that she'd be willing to campaign for some Democrats when she leaves office later this month.

She may not have many takers.

Interviews with a number of the most conservative Democrats in the House and Senate induced an awkward, stare-at-your-shoes unease when the prospect of appearing with Palin was posed.

Palin's strategy, to me, is to go the route of Raygun. Try and sway those Blue Dog Dem's. I assume many are still around from the Raygun era or at least their political ideologies are the same. A lot of Dem's voted for him, so I do believe she feels she can be just as effective with them as Raygun was. However, their responses to her invite don't seem to be meeting with any approval.

We all know that folks that normally have an a/t/t/a/c/k (defensive) type posture, (Palin) do so because they are more insecure than not. From her interview with Couric, whereby Palin first uttered the "elite Ivy League media with their gotcha journalism" to her failing as a VP candidate, it seems that Palin feels threatened most of the time. If that is the case, then it should be very easy to throw her off her game whenever she is interviewed. However, maybe that is one of the primary reasons she quit as governor. She was thrown so much off her game from the ethic charges to an on running joke whenever she spoke, she knew there was no way she could regroup and be taken seriously any time soon if she stayed the course as governor. Can we ever forget her comment, "I get see Russia from my porch". Hence, leave the govnorship, and try and revamp herself in the process. If that is her Modus operandi, then someone should suggest to her to be sure to read a book or two, specifically, the history of this country. I feel pretty confident she STILL won't feel that is necessary as she continues on her Palinpalooser Tour.

I agree with ya. Like I said after her big speech at the GOP convention, she insulted us (dem/bluedems/independants/progressives) and then the (conservatives/gop) tried to insult our intellegience! It is all about a power grab. They knew she didn't have what it took but once she got elected they would pull all of her strings. ( I dislike people who try to pull an oke-doke)

It must be lonely on the outside looking in. Now she wants to campaign for the other side?

What's the old saying.... brains last forever but beauty fades fast.... or something like that.

Thank God for some common sense....I wouldn't trust her for a second. She won't stick to their ideas. She will just ramble on her own agenda. Let her continue to destroy the GOP, they are on their last breath already.

No Dem in their right mind would want this goof campaigning for them, unless they want to alienate their constituents forever.

To the former Governor of Alaska, former VP running mate for McQuitter Campaign, Sarah Failin :

Sheesh!

DEMOCRATS AREN'T SUICIDAL IN 2010 AND NEITHER ARE THEIR SUPPORTERS!!
Look Sarah, woman to woman, your political days should be over. Your kids need you, especially now with a single unwed mom in your family, not to mention a special needs kid. Go HOME SARAH, wherever the "H" that is.

......or at least russian roulette. The number of bullets that could potentially end your career would be determined by:

1) how long she spoke on your behalf

2) if the speech was actually otherwise in her own words too, also

3) how many references she would add to the mean ol' media, the mean ol' bloggers, the mean ol' Alaskan politicians, the mean ol' federal government, and SNOW!!!machines.

4) whether she pimped out special needs Trig again by dragging him onto stage and holding him special needs face out, because you know, he's special needs. Did she mention he was special needs?

5) if your district would have to pick up the tab for her entire brood of kids and the first dud to come along for the ride....so they can partake of room service and a 5-star hotel

6) if she gets hit with another ethics charge (or bristol gets knocked up again, or Levi spills the beans that he's the father of two little Palin rugrats, etc) while she's your guest

Did she really say she wanted to specifically campaign for dems or did she say "candidates of any party"? This sounds like s strawman argument. But let's pretend she did say that....so she tried to reach across the aisle, is that so wrong? I think what she was doing was sending a message to the GOP that they aren't the only game in town i.e. independant movement.

Favorite    Flag as abusive Posted 03:51 PM on 07/15/2009

I believe she said it both ways. It isn't wrong to reach across the aisle to work with another party, in fact more politicians need to do so. However, Palin already tried that in Alaska with the Democratic Party who was more then willing to help cross aisles.

Our last Gov. was so corrupt, the slogan across Alaska was 'ANYONE OTHER THEN MURKOWSKI'. So, all politicians worked together once she was in office. It wasn't until troopergate (bi-partisan, republican majority) looked into her ethics complaint that her viciousness, blame everyone but me, everyone picking on me mentality came out.

The view of working with all parties really went out the window when she was picked as VP. After she came back, she refused to even TALK with some Democratic politicians. Even Republicans. Then she QUIT!

NO ONE here trusts her. Why should anyone believe that all of a sudden she is willing to work for any candidate of any party?

"Why should anyone believe that all of a sudden she is willing to work for any candidate of any party?"

For $$$.

The only god she prays to.

Basically, she just declared she is open to the highest bidder.

Even the most conservative Dem is head and shoulders above this ill-prepared, ignorant, hateful woman.

Thank goodness. This woman needs to be starved out of the media. She's replacing Britney Spears as the paparazzi favorite.
Too bad Sotomayor isn't as cute; the GOP senators would be nicer to her.

It wouldn't matter with Sotomayor -- she could be the most beautiful woman on earth but the GOP senators would not be nicer to her because she is strong and intelligent. They don't like that.

Wow, another in depth article about a lib asking a dem a question that to answer 'yes' would mean the end of their career. No proof, just speculation, is this like the real paperwork the presdnt will not produce? He says its real, we should just believe him.

It is absoutely incredulous to me how folks like yourself, in this age can display their ignorance for all the world to see so vigorously....... oh well, I suppose that it's the "anonymous" state of the internet that does it.

"IF" these folks who have bought into the "conspiracy therory" about Pres. Obama's birth certificate had an inkling of intelligence, instead of beating the drums to their prejudices, they would understand that Pres. Obama DID NOT just show the various intelligence agencies(who are REQUIRED to investigate a presidential candidate) a birth certificate and they just took his word for it. These agencies MUST take him through the most rigorous vetting process, from birth to his current life...in all areas, as he would have access to the highest level of security clearances in this country.

This is something that's covered in elementary school government education classes, beginning with the 3rd grade all the way through college. But, I can see how you would have missed that if you don't put any value on education since your kind believe that education in not important, as it is for the "UPPITY ELITISTS" folks...... I guess that "you don't need no stinkin' education!"
